Men's MetaTherm™ Down Jacket is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 45.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and light Incredibly light and surprisingly warm. I'm 5'10" and 160 lbs and a medium fit me well. Sheds water pretty well, but it is new and time will tell how long the coating will last. Sometimes feathers sneak their way out so hopefully it won't go flat in a year, but thus far it has been minimal. Great layering piece under my shell as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lightweight jacket Nice for everyday wear and packs incredibly small. Paired with a light weight shell, it can be the perfect backpacking companion year round.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultralight and incredibly warm This jacket has exceeded my expectations many times over. I have never owned a down jacket since I have always layered. That, of course, adds bulk and weight, so I thought I would give a down jacket a try, and after a lot of research, I settled on this one. I couldn't be happier. It is so lightweight, but it is ridiculously warm, I have to make sure it is going to be cold enough to wear it. For me, and I run hot, it needs to be sub 45F/7C since it keeps me so warm. I have only had it on in the light rain, so I can't speak to its water resistance but so much. It does bead a light amount of rain, but that is all I have experienced so far. I have not been doing any wild activities in the jacket, so I am not sure just how durable it is, but it feels pretty solid and I don't really worry about ripping it, which is amazing considering the weight of the fabric. I also like the storage pocket that you can stuff the jacket into, I find myself using this a lot when I am wearing the jacket around town. I am happy with the color I got as well (mountain) as it does not appear too shiny. The cut is nice as well, it is a comfortable athletic fit. Although, for me, it is a tiny bit snug at the bottom which falls halfway down my butt so I have to be careful if I am doing a lot of bending and squatting to avoid putting tension at the seam.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super light Jacket I was looking for a light and not bulky light down jacket and noticed this Meta Therma jacket from MH. I was surprised that this jacket was not only very light but also very warm. it also could be “folded” and inserted into one of its pocket and fit for portability.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Leaks feathers like crazy I really loved by Mountain Hardwear Metatherm down jacket when I first got it. It's so light and warm and fits me like a glove. However, after a couple of months, I noticed serious feather leakage. There's at least 10 points all over the jacket where feathers are poking out from the seams. I live in Houston, Texas so I don't wear the jacket often

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really comfortable and warm Very comfortable jacket, you can barely feel it on you. I wouldn't go play sports in it or anything since the fabric is thinner, but for hiking, backpacking or everyday use it's great. Love the fit, I'm 5'9", 175lbs and the medium size really feels good. Comparing it to my patagonia down sweater I'd say the warmth feels about the same.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome, for it's intended user First off. I'm a bit guy 6'4, 250 with a 6'10 wingspan (I wear xl t-shirts and 17.5-39 dress shirts). I bought an xl and had to return it as it was too snug around the torso, although the sleeves fit fine on me. The XXL fit me perfectly with 1-2 base layers. Once I got the right fitting jacket, I was very pleased. This thing is super light. A lot of people are posting about the durability of the fabric-this is intended as a mid layer and I would reccomend a shell over it. I would be worried about branches etc snagging and tearing the lightweight material if walking through the woods, but this would be negated by a shell layer. This is a fantastic jacket for someone looking to add a lot of warmth in a small, lightweight and weather resistant layer. It is not the warmest jacket on the planet, but it is very efficient and plenty warm for commuting and active outdoor adventures in the middle of winter.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice Jacket The main zipper poor quality and should not be on this jacket in my opinion. I had to return one because it would not unzip out of the box. I ordered another and while I am keeping the jacket, the zipper connection is extremely thin and cheap and I do not anticipate it lasting more than a season. While I understand the manufacturer needs a "light" zipper to maintain consistency with the overall jacket weight, the zippers are of poor quality. The reminder of the jacket is great!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super light This is a great jacket that'll keep you warm and not weigh you down. The material is high quality and not a lot of feathers will escape. However, a chest pocket would be nice. Also, inside pockets would be nice as well. The armpit area seems to be a little too snug so wear really thin clothing.
