Who says hard climbing stops in the summer? Not us. Karen Lane, local Fayetteville, West Virginia, climber and photographer is passionate about the special culture, people, and world-class rock (even in the heat of summer) in the American south.
Often, climbers seek deep water solo warm weather adventure halfway across the world. But with access made recently available at Summersville Lake, WV, a warm Appalachian road trip with warm hospitality is the perfect summer plan.
Work up your nerve to try hard in the hot with the welcome reward of a lake plunge. Come along as Karen gives us some local beta on the refreshingly close-to-home, unique deep water climbing offered just outside the back screen door.
