MANON
FREERIDE SKIER (SHE/HER)
LOSCHI
As the first female to attempt a double backflip in a big mountain competition, it's clear Manon Loschi holds nothing back on the hill. Coming out of La Clusaz, (a region in her home country of France that’s known as a freeskiing paradise in the heart of the Alps) she had instant success in her first competitions with the support of renowned coach Seb Michaud.
At the time, she had no serious plans to pursue this path. Manon says she landed in freeskiing accidentally. She was just trying it out just for fun at her local club, and her coach convinced her to enter a small, junior freeride contest. She ended up placing fourth. Fired up, she entered her second competition, and this time, she won. It’s only been up and up from then on.

“
My goal is to express my creativity as much as possible through my skiing and my different projects. I hope to inspire people and have as much fun as I can.
”
Beyond the competitive arena, Manon is dedicated to sharing creative expressions of her perspectives on skiing, including segments like Matchstick Productions’ 'Calm Beneath Castles', 500 Motors’ film for K2, ‘Chile Today, Gone Tamale’ and ‘Recipe’ by Coline Ballet-Baz. The filming aspect of freeskiing is the most important for her, and it’s where she’ll move towards more and more in the future.
