Whether high summer camping or alpine climbing in winter, knowing how you will use your tent is the best way to ensure you get the right one.

Camping Built for everyday outdoor excursions and designed to maximize space for you and your gear. Perfect as a base for day trips from camp or travelling shorter distances. Drive to the crag, set up, climb all day, and then share tales around the campfire into the night.
Backpacking Designed for more adventurous treks, these tents are built for durability and portability. Even with lighter weight and more compact size, they provide features like full-mesh canopies and rainflies that allow you to take in the view protected from the elements.
Expedition These are the gold standard for shelter in extreme conditions and high altitudes. From basecamp domes to high-alpine refuges, these tents are built for insulation and stability in severe environments like Everest, K2, Annapurna, the Arctic, and the Antarctic.
Accessories Accessories can help maximize tent durability and comfort. These include tent footprints—a protective ground cover underneath your tent—as well as hanging dividers for added privacy, and attachable vestibules for added storage and shelter.
TIP: Look for the number in the tent name as an indicator of capacity. For up to two people, a “2” should do. Larger group or more gear? Consider a “4” or a “6.” Also read tent descriptions for information on seasonal use. A “two-season” tent might be ideal for warm or mild weather, while a “four-season” tent is designed for use year-round.
