Scott Lehmann is a deaf mountaineer, educator, and storyteller raised in the deaf community. Over the past decade, he has climbed the world’s highest peaks, becoming the first deaf American to summit Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Manaslu, and Kangchenjunga, part of the first all deaf team to summit Denali, and the first deaf individual to reach all 50 US High Points. Through the ongoing project “Seeing Beyond: Seven Summits,” he works to expand accessibility, representation, and opportunity for deaf and disabled communities in the outdoors. ​
