Eye On The Prize
CALEB MAY BE ONE OF OUR YOUNGEST ATHLETES ON THE TEAM, BUT WITH THE WAY HE’S ZEROED IN ON TRAINING, HE MIGHT JUST CATCH UP TO OUR SEASONED PROS.

Lily doing a ski jump
Lily Bradley first starred on the FWT circuit in 2022 with a first place finish at Kicking Horse, third place in Ordino-Arcalis, and a fourth place overall for the five-stop tour, placing in the top five every year since then. A student at the University of California, Berkeley, Lily blends their passion for sustainability and fashion as they work towards their double degree in political science and social welfare. Lily hopes to expand their role as a positive role model for femme, queer, and trans people in the sport of skiing and beyond.

WHO DID YOU LOOK UP TO IN SKIING WHEN YOU WERE GROWING UP?
Michelle Parker was definitely my ski hero. She is an insanely ballsy and gorgeous skier and was absolutely my role model. She made me feel more confident about my potential as a female athlete when I was a kid. She always chose beautiful technical lines and showed how well women could stomp huge cliffs and ski terrifying terrain. I also really admire her social impact—she uses her platform to promote meaningful change.
A STAND-OUT MOMENT ON THE FREERIDE WORLD TOUR?
Even though it wasn’t necessarily my best result, I got to do a really technical, exposed straight line into a monster of a cliff at the 2024 Georgia FWT comp, and it was the most proud I’ve ever been of a line.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

  • 2022: KICKING HORSE FWT COMPETITION WIN (FIRST YEAR ON TOUR).

  • FEATURED IN “PEOPLE LIKE US” FILM.

  • STUNT DOUBLE IN “WEAK LAYERS” MOVIE, FILMED IN THEIR HOMETOWN.

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE SIMPLE JOYS THIS SPORT OFFERS YOU?
“
Absolute gender euphoria. Skiing was one of the first places that I experienced gender euphoria, before I even knew I was on the trans spectrum. I didn’t have the words to express the emotional constraints of gender and skiing gave me a place to feel myself. I loved being able to put on boxy outerwear that made me feel masculine, and move through space completely confident and in tune with my body.

WHAT DO YOU WISH MORE PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT THE SNOW WORLD?
Skiing is saturated by oppressive systems that make it hard to be queer or female. That’s a big part of why I care so much about inclusion, affirmative action projects in snowsports, and culture change.
DO YOU HAVE ANY RITUALS BEFORE A DAY OUT ON THE MOUNTAIN?
Listening to super loud music in the car. Could be mega hype bad b*$%# rap, oldies, hyperpop, instrumental.
