The Mountain Hardwear Warranty Policy

We guarantee that the materials and workmanship in every Mountain Hardwear product will stand up to the use for which they were designed. This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper care, accident, or the natural breakdown of materials over time. Products should be returned to us for evaluation and will be repaired or replaced at our discretion. Damages due to improper care or accident will be repaired at a reasonable rate.

The Dry.Q Elite/AirShield Elite Comfort Guarantee

If for any reason you are not satisfied with the waterproofing, windproofing or breathability performance of your Dry.Q Elite jacket or pant, or with the windproofing or breathability performance of your AirShield Elite jacket or pant, just return it and Mountain Hardwear will, at our discretion, repair it, replace it or refund your full purchase price.

How do I know if damages to my MHW product are covered under warranty?

The only way to know if your MHW product is covered under warranty is to send it to us for an evaluation. There are just too many variables to conduct an evaluation over the phone. Please send your item with the following form, and we will evaluate your product and contact you with the results.

Can I buy poles or other parts for my MHW tent, pack, or bag?

Absolutely! For poles, please call our warranty department and we will be happy to sell you poles. 800-953-8398. M-F 8:30-4pm PST.

I ripped my MHW product. What are my repair options?

Mountain Hardwear Warranty department offers first class repair services. Costs vary depending on what the product is, and the extent of the damage. The only way to know is to send it to us! Please wash the item according to the care label, and send it along with the following form.

Why must I wash my Mountain Hardwear product prior to send it to Warranty?

Health code 29CFR 1910.1030 protects our staff from possible pathogens, allergens and parasites (think bodily fluids, pet dander and even bed bugs!). For this reason, any item deemed not freshly washed, will be immediately returned to you for washing prior to evaluation. The added expense and time can be avoided by simply washing your item before sending it.
