Women's Yuma™ Pant is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yuma - perfect before changes The Yuma has been my favorite pant for years. I wear them for long distance cycle touring, rowing, hiking, travel, around town, and every day use. They are extremely durable and comfortable. However, I've worn a few pair out over the years and with each replacement have lost some of what was so great about the Yuma I first bought. 1) pockets. Yuma used to have two side of the leg zipped cargo pockets that were big enough to hold a passport (one side) and a smart phone (other) securely. Then there was just a right leg side pocket. And then, there was this silly little zip pocket that is good for... well, nothing much. 2) rise. I think about this daily while doing active travel. The pants used to fit at the waist, or nearly so. I put them on, tied them, and forgot about them. Someone who doesn't bike or row decided that a low rise would be fashionable(?) and left me tugging at my shirt constantly (or wearing a fleece tied around my waste) to avoid having a gap between shirt and pants while being active. This is getting to be a deal breaker with me and I will need to search out new favorite pants. 3) on the positive side, while I liked the earlier elastic cord at the bottom of the pants, the button tab thing works fine for getting a pants leg out of the way while cycling. 4) my most recent pairs seem to be failing in front pocket seams in a way that indicates a decline in quality of sewing. Guessing this was a change in vendor. So PLEASE Mountain Hardware, bring back the two zipped cargo pocket, higher rise on the waistline version for 2019.
