Reviews

Women's Quasar™ Lite Jacket is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor quality zipper I loved this jacket for 2 days, then with great dismay, returned it 2 days later. It's a great jacket -- great fit, very effective as a bike commuter jacket worn daily in Seattle's rainy weather. It has a great fit, good styling, great visible color. Unfortunately, the zipper became so difficult to work I resorted to taking it off and on over my head the last 2 days. The amount of force needed to feed the male part of the zipper into the double female ends was significant and caused actual thumb discomfort trying to repeatedly force it to where I could zip it up. Very disappointing. I've owned 4 other Mountain Hardwear jackets and have never had such a problem. AND it's a known problem. Two sales persons in the local MH store told me it "can be a problem". Since I mail ordered this, I hoped I would have better luck. The zipper does not live up to the quality of the rest of the jacket.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Dry on the outside, dripping on the inside! This product is lightweight and waterproof, as described. It is made well. However, it is far from breathable. I sweat like crazy in it. Still searching for a product that is waterproof and breathable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A bit small I got this to replace another medium MH rain jacket that is on its last legs after 5 brutal years of putting it to work. I'm 5'11", 155, B cup, and my other medium fit perfectly, even with a puffy underneath. This medium is tight around my chest, but otherwise fits nicely. I'm going to return it for a large and hope for the best. No armpit zips, which I would probably enjoy, but they can be bulky/rub. Either way, I could move my arms freely without resistance. Haven't tested it to PNW rain yet...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not breathable enough On 5 hour hike (49F, very damp air), there was way too much buildup of moisture inside. I had the "pockets" open to try to serve as pit zips (which makes them unusable as pockets) but the interior was dripping. Not nearly as breathable as I had hoped.
