Rated 4 out of 5 by from Scree 1 Mountain Hardwear 0 I went on a three day backpacking trip in the Denali back country so I bought these pants with the hopes that they would do me good! Well for the most part I was very impressed with the quality. We did several river crossings and everyone commented on how quickly they dried. There was an intense amount of bush whacking done and they held up great! All until I went down a scree slope... I started walking down and did a little slide that had me on my butt scooching along for maybe 20ft. Every one else's pants were good but unfortunately my pocket ripped :( I'm super bummed cause I only owned them for three days and I figured the material quality would be good enough to handle the Alaskan terrain. Other then that I can't complain they are a pretty solid pair of pants!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best hiking/work pants ever!! Fantastic fit! It's usually impossible for me to find pants that fit my hips and don't gap at the waist (those of us with a female figure understand the struggle). These pants fit perfectly! Material around the zipper initially seemed a bit rough, but then I wore them all day while hiking and gardening and never noticed. During the gardening portion of my day, I got a bunch of dirt and debris on the new sand colored pants that just rubbed off and didn't stain which was a bonus!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect For Me I really like these pants! I already had a pair in the 32” length. When I saw on the website that they come in a 30” length, I ordered them and they fit perfectly. I’m only 5’2” and 32 inch inseams usually mean the bottom edge of the leg is dragging on the ground. It wears them out a lot faster. I did order up a size because the next size down is a titch small and catches thru the hips especially if a high step is required. So these are a tiny bit big. I just moved the button over a bit to snug them up. Finding zip off pant legs for women is getting more difficult and my 15 year old zip off pants are rather threadbare and have tears from trail work equipment. I do wish the leg pocket was a titch larger so my phone would fit in the pocket better. My phone is not one of those oversized ones, it does have auxiliary battery pack on it. It is my camera, map, GPS, and recording device for any habitat, bird, or wildlife data I am collecting in the field. Taking the battery pack off is not an option .

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too Big These pants were too large in the waist and hips and thighs. I ordered a size 4, perhaps a 2 would have fit better? I returned them for an XS in the Dynama pants, which I love! My measurements are Waist: 29 inches Hips: 34 inches

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product These pants are nice and versatile, good for a day at the cabin, camping, or hiking. I find them particularly helpful because I am indecisive about whether I should where pants, capris, or shorts. These pants offer all three! I found that they fit a little long and would have ordered a 30" inseam instead of 32" inseam.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best pants out there! Period!! These are the best hiking pants I have ever owned. Actually THE best pants I have ever owned. Did the PCT in these, and aside from a little stitching coming out on one pocket (to be forgiven with over 2700 miles on them and totally fixable) they are still going strong. Finally a practical pant for women without the stupid low rise, a great side cargo pocket (perfect size), and just the right size front and back pockets which is hard to find on a women's pant since designers seem to think we don't want functionality. And the hip width is perfect. The material dries almost instantly once the rain has stopped. And mosquitos can't bite through the material. The fit is absolutely perfect. Other manufacturers should examine the design of these pants and follow suit. This is what this woman wants!! Maybe my only gripe would be the X belt loop on the back of the pant that would be nice to have as a single flat loop to make for perfect comfort when carrying a pack. I actually don't wear a belt so no loops would be just fine with me. It would be a sad day if MHW stopped producing these pants as they are the BEST!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Runs small My other MHW pants are all size 8 and have a True Fit. These pants seem to run small. The material is stiffer than expected. I guess I now have to lose some weight to make this a comfortable hiking pants ;) All and all, I would totally recommend it since the pants is of good quality and the fitting (beside size) is great.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fit for a man I am a Botanist and work in the field everyday of the summer. I have loved Mountain Hardwears Canyon and Mesa pants, as they fit me perfectly. The Mirada is cut for a man, with a wide waist and straight hips. I'm not an very hippy person, but I am feminine, and these pants grab my hips and inner thighs. I typically wear as 4 or 6 in Mountain Hardwear pants, but had to go up to an 8 in this pant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent pants I have been looking for convertible pants that don't bind at the thigh (and I don't have large thighs) for months and these fit the bill! I haven't had the opportunity to wear them out on the trail yet but after trying them on several different times, I feel confident that these will be just what I needed!
