Women's Ghost Whisperer™ Down Hooded Jacket is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 39.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Mulit-purpose Jacket This is my second ghost whisperer, and I will keep coming back. It keeps you warm in 25 degree weather, but doesn’t make you sweat when it is 60 degrees either. It is also incredibly light weight and serves as an excellent under layer for super cold weather. My last jacket is still living, but it had a few patches and I wanted to grab a new one while they were on sale. My original was a large, which fit but was tight on my chest (size 12/ 38DDD) I got an XL this time and it is arguably too big in general, but now I can zip it up without stretching the material. I am sure it will last me many years to come!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far, so good I bought this jacket on a whim in a past season color because it was a great deal and multiple people had recommended it to me. So far, I haven't used it for hiking/camping/backpacking, but have been wearing on my urban commute (mostly walking). It did well in about 35 degree weather walking in the city, and the hood fit perfectly. I think below 35 with light activity I would need an additional layer, but it would work well with more moderate activity in lower temps. The black is a little bit shiny for me, but a good versatile color. I'm 5'8" and about 145 lbs (size 4-8 depending on brand) and the medium fits well with some room to spare.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love! Have worn this nonstop since getting it. Weighs next to nothing but super cozy warm. Ordered a small and it felt a tiny bit big at first but it’s actually perfect with a sweater underneath. Slightly fitted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value I’ve always been a fan of Mountain Hardware and this jacket does not disappoint. Perfect for cooler days around the city and excellent for layering on the more frigid days spent outside. Breathes pretty well when out hiking and packs down. Overall, it’s versatile, comfortable, and top of the line.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great except the unusable arm holes I really really really wanted to love this puffy. The overall fit was great in the body and most of the arms, the color was nice (although would've preferred brighter), and it was warm.... but why are the arm holes where they attach to the body of the jacket soooo small?!? Its totally unusable. No woman, especially one that climbs or mountaineers, would likely have such small arms. Disappointed, as I really wanted that jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Weight of a ghost, warmth of a freshly microwaved piece of pizza. This puffy rocks my socks! I purchased this in order to shed some ounces off of my backpacking weight. It barely weighs anything. I put it on, spent ten minutes looking for my keys, and then went to go put on my puffy because I forgot I was wearing it. Yes, that light. The baffles = perfection. I could probably pass for an average goose with the spectacular distribution of down I now sport. Mountain Hardwear should probably apologize to my St. Bernard as I no longer need to cuddle with him for warmth. Druss (my St. Bernard) loves cuddles, but this puffy has it covered!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good fit, very light My initial impressions are very good! I have not tested it in very cold weather yet, but wearing it around walking I have been very warm, and if I’m sitting still and cold, it has warmed me up! The fit is good on me. I am 5’4”, 170 lbs and have wider shoulders/ chest and the Large is perfect, with room for my base + mid layers under it. The weight of this jacket is something I am excited about as I take this on my upcoming PCT thru hike!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for backpacking, but has fit issues I purchased this jacket for backpacking. I am not a UL backpacker, but I still count every ounce. This jacket is super light, and very warm. I’ve only used it in camp, even slept in it. I only gave it 4 stars for fit issues. First problem is the arm pit area is too small. Second, the hood needs to be bigger to accommodate women’s head AND hair. Most female hikers wear a bun or pony, the hood doesn’t fit well with your hair pulled up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Roasty Toasty Warm :) Now I know what the hype is all about! It's super warm, I can't feel any wind blowing through it, the hood stays on really well even in high winds, and it's light as a feather! The only downside I can find is that it's kinda tight under the armpits, but after wearing it a little while I don't notice any more once I'm not thinking about it. Overall A+ jacket - just bought another one for my mom :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Maybe I got a faulty one? I was skeptical about the warmth of the jacket when I unwrapped it, but after a couple of trial runs, the warmth was a pleasant surprise! The jacket is super light and amazingly warm, but after trying it out a couple of times a loose thread from the sleeve caught on one of the zippers, gathering the material. If I pay that much for a jacket it better remain in awesome condition for a long long time. Will be returning the jacket.
