Rainshadow™ 26 OutDry® Backpack is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super lightweight, great for hiking and climbing This is a great pack for rainy weather. I've used it on hiking and climbing trips. Super rugged but light enough to use as daypack. Love it!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent daypack I used the Rainshadow 26 for the first time on a hike in the snow. This pack is functional and excellent in many departments. It stayed dry, even though It was set down in the snow many times and falling snow from tree branches covered it. The pack holds quite a bit of gear for it's size, and supports it well. The only critique I can offer is the back ventilation is average and the color rendering on the website's picture is off,as the bottom of the pack seems black and it's actually grey. Much lighter color in real life, but still a great pack.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good functional pack I have been using this pack for about a year, and it has held up great. I was pleasantly surprised on a the amount of gear that I could fit into the main compartment. The inner lined pouch is good for stashing more delicate items for which you don't need ready access. There are a couple of aspects to be aware of - (1) the degree of water resistance depends on how well you implement the water resistant features (e.g., properly securing and storing the zipper), which shouldn't be that surprising; (2) the top compartment can be difficult to access, depending on how it and the main compartment are packed, which also shouldn't be that surprising given that it's a soft pack. Overall, this pack works really well: it's easy to get on and off, it has a surprisingly good capacity, and the strapping is very effective for keeping it stable while being worn. The water resistant features function well with proper attention.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don’t know what I would change This pack is extremely light and comfortable for any reasonable load you could fit in a 26 liter pack. The side pockets are deep enough to ensure nothing falls out. The outer pouch is perfect for stowing wrt rain gear and the pack itself keeps everything dry. I’ve been using this daily during winter on the Oregon Coast and absolutely love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pack I used this pack for long day hikes in the Olympic Peninsula on beach and trail hikes in the woods. It stored everything I needed.Extra clothes and jacket, two water bottles and food.I also had some technology to protect and I'm happy to say nothing got wet.I found the pack very comfortable full,or even half full.It was easy to adjust and fit my body well.I'm 5-10",160lbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent daypack! I used this daypack for a strenuous hiking season full of long dayhikes. The size is perfect - it holds everything I need and is extremely comfortable. The OutDry waterproofing really works and saves me from carrying a pack cover that blows in the wind. .

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not waterproof, poorly constructed This product is NOT waterproof. The zippers are not waterproof at all. It relies on a fabric flap that you use to cover the zippers to keep water from even touching them. But this fabric cover is extremely iffy and doesn't even stick. The bag itself is poorly constructed. There are smaller compartments for you to put things in, but when you put things in there, the bag is very top heavy and flops around when you put it on the ground. The bag also feels very awkward when you are wearing it, like it is not properly balanced or something. I would not recommend this product at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect pack for a week hiking around Yosemite! I received the Rainshadow OutDry 26 backpack about a week before my Yosemite trip. It easily carried my 3L water bladder, 2 additional liter water bottles in the side pockets (when my fiance's couldn't hold hers securely). I was also able to fit a comprehensive first aid kit, water filter, binos, food for 2, water purifier, an addtional layer, and was able to squeeze in my fiance's back up hiking shoes. On my solo trip up Half Dome I was able to easily and securely strap my treking poles to the bag. The soft inside zipper was perfect to store my sunglasses during the dark hours hiking. Fortunately, I did not have to test the water proofing ability of the bag as the weather fully cooperated with us. Overall, this product did everything I needed it to do, and I could not be more pleased. The pack is lightweight for all the features it provides, and I like I can leave a dry bag back at my tent when I am carrying this backpack. It will also be a great commuter bag for a bike or motorcycle. I can't wait to be using it again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Pack so Far I bought this pack on a whim due to a sale MH had going on and I'm glad I did. I cannot speak to the waterproof ability of it yet but I can say that it's really well built. I like the fit so far and I like the gear capacity. It's just about the perfect size for a day hike and that will be it's primary use. I like knowing that if I do get caught in a rain storm I don't have to worry about having a pack cover with me. My only gripe with it so far is the waist belt. It's just webbing and I really wish it A)had some padding on it and B)had some storage pockets on it. Other than that, I love the pack. I don't think you would regret getting one.
