Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice pant Really happy with the fit and feel of these softshells, bought them for alpine climbing and skinny ski touring in the backcountry. They move well, fit great, I'm 6'1 155#, wear a 31/34 in the chockstone which is my favorite pair of pants to wear everyday, I bought these in the small-long and really like the fit, a bit tighter through the legs but a good comfortable fit for me, complements my euro look. I like how the pockets sit under my harness and the stretchy bit on the waist band is genius. The reinforcement patch inside the ankles is bomber and even though my gaiters usually take the crampon abuse Ive put plenty of holes in pants through the gaiters so stoked on that feature. All around sick pair of pants.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fit is way too baggy For a something being marketed as an ice climbing and mountaineering pant the cut is way off. The mediums fit well in the waist (im a 32 waist) but are far too baggy to use for ice or rock climbing. The are big enough to fit over a ski boot without unzipping the side zip and have no grommet holes for tiening shock cord to make gaiters. there is also no way to sinch down the bottom around you boot. if youre a huskey person looking for a winter hiking pant these might be good. Not for ice climbing though

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bomber These pants hit all the marks. The softshell is more burly than prior fabrics making it resist pilling, the reinforcement of the knees/instep is soft yet durable, and you can't beat the vents. My only beef is that there isn't a women's version :/

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pant for warm weather mountain climbing Originally I was hoping to get the dragon pants for schoeller tech but they aren't available. That's ok because I'm stoked on these. I'm a tall female and women's softshells are hard to find, even more so for length. I got the medium long and they fit great but I was surprised that even the long just barely made the cut. I was hoping to have them in time to do Mt Adams but they came a week later. I was able to go up Mt si with them and had no issue. I haven't worn any base layers underneath or crampons but I love the straps for the boots and the protection is well done. No sweat residue, breathed well for softshells. The waist band, especially around the back, is awesome and very comfortable. Very excited to wear these on rainier.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great pant, awkward fit This is a great pant. It checks out all the appropriate categories of a backcountry ski pant. Reinforcements are perfect, material weight is spot on, and just enough pockets to stache what you need. Price is exactly where it needs to be for a pant of this quality. ....but... the fit size difference between large and medium is huge. I’m 6’2” @ 195lbs with a 32” waist. The mediums were way too tight, stretching hard at the pelvis and thighs. The large were way too big, reminiscent of 90’s balloon pants; tight ankles and baggy from the knee up. For reference, the Super Chockstone pants in M fit perfectly.
