Men's Switch Flip™ Hooded Jacket is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quality? Got this jacket as an early Christmas present, didn't use it all until in April since it is not really a winter jacket. I have used it about 10 times and then the little square at the end of zipper that prevents the movable part from falling off the zipper just fell off!!! Now tha jacket is useless after only 10 times. You need to have better quality control.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from switch flip I really like my switch flip jacket. As the climate I live in is cold yet not snowy, this light weight coat is perfect for layering and packing. The nylon makes it better than similarly priced apparel. And the stitching creates a stylish effect not found elsewhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Switch Flip Hoody I purchased this jacket 3 weeks ago and have worn it almost every day. This is the most comfortable, warm and versatile jacket I have purchased to this date. I'm on the range most every day for 8 hrs a day no matter the weather. This jacket worked great under my hard shell last week when it was 36 degree and raining all day. The only draw back is no DWR coating. I applied my own and its working fine. Gonna try it out in Breckinridge here in two weeks! Can't wait!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb Jacket I just finished shoveling snow (1") and sweeping up some rogue leaves still in the driveway. The actual temperature was 16 degrees with a wind chill of 4 degrees. All I had under this jacket was a hanes tshirt. I was never cold and the mild wind was kept at bay. Very impressive product...!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from two for 1 Instead of being the guy who wears the same jacket all the time, you can be the guy who fools every one by wearing the same jacket but looks like two different ones. This is a great jacket, warm enough alone and when paired with a fleece, it's maybe too warm for our CA climbing season. You wont regret this great product. great style and function.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A multi-purpose layering essential Embrace the hood. I resisted the “look” for years until adventures increasingly higher than 14k taught me the value of having one in your quiver at any elevation. Bottom line, pulling up your hood increases the warmth factor of any weight jacket by a significant amount. You can dress lighter to avoid overheating and still have a safety/comfort factor in reserve if the conditions turn sporty. I use this jacket interchangeably with my Thermostatic when the vibe tells me to. Here’s my review of that jacket. “If you know anything about layering (and you should) this jacket will quickly become the go-to tool that anchors your kit. I’ve slipped it on over a base layer when the afternoon fog rolls into San Francisco and donned it at sunset in the high Sierra with the same toasty warm results. I pull a shell over it and it turns into an insulation layer for light alpine ascents and skiing. I’ve run in it on frosting mornings, napped in it, and had to back-borrow from my wife so many times I bought her one of her own. Not designed to repel rain but stands up to heavy fog. I’m 6’ and thin at 175lb. The Medium gives me a close fit with plenty of length all around.”

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Less than I expected I like the color and fit of this jacket but it has some short comings. The day after it arrived we were hit with misty conditions and I soon discovered that the jacket has no water resistance or repellence. The misty rain did not pool or fall off, it just soaked in. With my intended usage for backpacking and skiing, this jacket will obviously require the protection of a shell. As far as attention to details, I wish the jacket had a lapel pocket but since it is reversible, this was probably an impediment to including one. Another missing detail is a chin guard protector from the scratchy, uncomfortable, and cold position of the zipper pull when I wear the hood. Had I tried on this jacket in a store instead of purchasing it online, it is unlikely I would have purchased it. I am a big fan of Mountain Hardware products but this particular jacket falls below my expectations.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great! But Concerned? I just got this jacket in the mail. I am slightly concerned as the zipper seems a little janky...it has already had a couple of sticking problems...not catching on fabric, just not smooth zipping. It fits great and i like the reversible nature of the jacket. I have not used the jacket, hence the average rating level, yet for its intended function, which is climbing, skiing, backpacking and any other outdoor activity that I may participate in.
