Reviews

Men's StretchDown™ Jacket is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Messed up sizing The jacket itself is great but the sizing is not right, I wear a large in almost all brands. If you have any kind of muscle tone in your arms/shoulders, the armpits will be super tight. The body itself was almost to large and the length of the arms. If they figure out the sizing issue, then it will be a good jacket, but I'm returning it because the arms are uncomfortable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fit issues First the bad. This, like most mountain hardwear these days, fits large and poorly. It's tight around the armpits and shoulders but quite a lot of room in the belly. Arms are plenty long even in the medium. (I am 6'1" 165#) The stiffness of the fabric exacerbates the poor fit but the stretch helps! I wish mtn headwear would go back to a more athletic fit. I often take a large, but went with the medium. It's a little tight in the armpits, plenty of room in the pot belly area. !! But narrow at the waist. The large was too fat. The good is, it's nice and warm. The thicker stretch fabric makes it a little warmer than a down jacket with the same down but very light nylon. Looks like it will be durable too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Jacket is awesome I bought this jacket online with size large and color zinc. It is so amazing it keeps you completely warm in even in 16F. I love the full neck covering design and it’s water repellent technology is amazing. I poured a glass of water on the hands and no wetting at all. Zinc color is also extraordinary. Love this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket Super warm and light, this jacket is my go to in cool weather and pairs well with a shell when it's really nasty out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Jacket, Stretch is Unique Have you ever twisted your torso while wearing a puffy? Felt that fabric strain and almost tear? Have you gotten out of your car and seen feathers stuck to your seat? You won’t have these problems with this jacket. This jacket feels more substantial and heavy, more ready for a beating. If you’re looking for the lightest jacket, this isn’t it. However, if you want a solid, stretchy, warm jacket with room for layers, this is it. I’m 5’9”, 165 and this jacket fits well in length and shoulder width. Arms have a little bit of baggy-ness, but not a ridiculous amount.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hand down the nicest down jacket I've owned. I really enjoyed the stretch-fit feature, I could actually be active and use my arms without the jacket riding up. Then matte-like finish is fantastic and a lot more subtle than the Ghost Whisperer finish, with a soft yet durable feel. Plenty of pockets for everything you'd need to stash away and the chest pocket fits a rather large cellphone, I use the Galaxy S8+ with an OtterBox case so this should fit pretty much any phone on the market. I have yet to be in freezing temps but at low 40s with wind the StretchDown jacket kept me very arm, the seam welded baffles do their job. I would absolutely recommend this jacket after reviewing the Ghost Whisperer as well as options from Patagonia and Arc'teryx I decided to buy the Mountain Hardwear StretchDown Jacket and I do not regret my decision.
