Reviews

Men's StretchDown™ Hooded Jacket is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fits Small Jacket looks and the fabric feels great. I should have trusted the previous review and ordered a size bigger than what I normally wear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm, durable, runs small So far this jacket seems great although as others have mentioned, it runs small. I am 5'9" 155 and the medium was too tight in the shoulders and under my arms. I could feel the medium stretch in the shoulders when I extended my arms in front of me and couldn't fit more than a t shirt underneath without feeling pretty stuffed. I sized up to a large and the fit is less athletic/fitted but allows for a fleece layer underneath. Fabric seems durable and has a nice matte look to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket, Very Warm I got the Stretch Down Jacket after the Zipper broke on my go to jacket. I love it. It is extremely durable and warm. I also had the Ghost Whisper and can say besides weight this is a much better jacket. Its warmer and tougher. And honestly the extra weight is really not significant, even for backpacking. I would highly recommend this jacket. I have worn it down to 10 degree F with a light base layer and it kept me warm.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No Durability Wanted to like this jacket for upstate NY. Was looking forward to hiking, show shoeing in this etc. Jacket didn't even make it 2 weeks before my dog jumped on me and scratch a massive hole in back of it. do not buy this is you plan on doing anything active.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's So FLUFFY!!! Bought this jacket for pacific Northwest. Temp's usually in 30 to 50 range. This stretchdown jacket is super comfy, and allows me to layer underneath while not feeling to restricted. I love how it doesn't leak feather due to this awesome welded baffle design. It does leave bigger gaps between baffles but you wont look like a fluffy mess at every seam. Highly recommended over traditional down jackets. Also love the ability to choose a stretch down Jacket with different levels of insulation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not too rugged First time wearing it went for a hike in the woods.Walked by a pricker bush and now theres six holes where the feathers come out.Good warm jacket if you live in the city.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A well made low profile down jacket This is a well made jacket that is very warm considering it’s very modest bulk. It has a more athletic cut than many other down coats. I am just over 5 ‘10 and go around 175-180. I am a classic tweener between a medium and large depending on brand and fit. I went with a size large to allow for layering here on the Great Lakes. I’m glad I did. I have been very impressed with the quality of Mountain Hardwear products in general and this jacket did nothing to diminish that impression.
