Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this jacket If you have been looking for a rain jacket that will move with you wait no further. This jacket breathes great and just moves with you. I love it. Sizing is spot on. I ordered the XL. I am a stocky 6' 210lb guy and this jacket fits great. Another great product from MTN Hardware.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Staying Dry I hate running in the rain but this jacket did a great job in keeping me dry. The rain just beaded off the jacket and after an hour run, I got home DRY!!!!!! (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightest rain jacket i've ever worn I'm used to the heavier 2L rain shells with mesh liners. That's all I ever owned growing up. I love this jacket for how lightweight it is, and of course the stretch. It's extremely comfortable, and the inside doesn't feel as sticky or clammy as other 2.5L shells I've seen. The fabric itself is very soft, and has lots of stretch. It's not a very loud fabric either. I really think this is the perfect rain shell because if feels like you're hardly wearing anything, and yet you still get the complete waterproof protection. I haven't had any issues with water soaking through. Definitely recommend if you are looking to step up to a really nice rain jacket.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Buy gortex? I have a few outdoor hiking products from Mountain hardware. I love them! When I was planning my trip to Norway I wanted to try purchasing more mountainhardwear gear for my trip. I heard there was a lot of rainy days in Norway so I wanted a nice top and bottom waterproof rain gear outfit to be able to wear on my hiking adventures. Product was a bit pricey but I went ahead and purchased. I was so excited when I got the product. Nice material feel, light, fit appropriately. I instantly put it over my clothing and jumped in the shower; did not feel like it leaked so I was excited. I live in Maine and decided to wear it outside while I was snowblowing on my lawn tractor. Unfortunately when I came in water had soaked through the material, not the seams, on both my bottom and my thighs/knees. This was just with snow melting on the surface, no rain at all. Very disappointed. I will be returning the product and purchasing something different, likely from a different manufacturer. Still love mountain hardware items, just need something really waterproof and this is not.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the stretch, wish it was more durable Pros: - The DryQ Active fabric is incredibly waterproof, but remains breathable - Very light and packable - The stretch is nice during activity Cons: - Redesigned hood cinch system only has cinch cord in the front of the hood, so the hood either fits much too large on me and is blown off by wind, or when I cinch it down only the front of the hood closes and the visor comes down to obstruct my vision. Needs some sort of cinch in the back part of the hood to fix this. - DryQ Active fabric is NOT durable. I've had to patch this jacket after playing with my dog and getting caught on a branch while hiking (to me, both fairly mild mechanisms for a rip in a technical garment); problems that I never had to face with previous MH rain shells. Overall: Great jacket for day-to-day wear around town, but I would need to be more confident in its durability for consistent back country use.
