Men's Piero™ Utility Short is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from not for backpinh or hiking these look very good, but i will not use them for backpacking or hiking. they are too warm, not stretchy/loose enough ( i didnt feel any substantial stretch honestly, and they are advertised as "versatile short with a surprising amount of stretch" in the website) , aside for spf and dwr i see no reason to hike with them. but, as casual pants they are comfy and pretty. for those reasons, i wouldnt put the full price on them, but on sale its worth it if you need nice casual shorts. size fits well, the 11" inseam covers the knees in a comfy way

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid shorts! These shorts are made out of a very durable stretchy canvas material that I can tell is going to withstand the abuse that this physical therapist/wilderness junkie/stone mason-carpenter/grappler can throw at them. The fit is great on me and allows for full range of motion with activities such as squatting and lunging. Overall great shorts that I feel will stand up to the rigors of my tasks!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Burly Shorts These shorts are definitely designed to be durable and tough, which gives them a bit of a stiff feeling at first. They are comfortable, and I'm guessing they'll break in over time and last me a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid feel I've spent two good weekends in these shorts climbing now and they've become my go-to hike/climb shorts. They have a great amount of stretch to them and feel good under a harness. Deep pockets! They fit a little tighter than I was expecting, I'd order one size up next time. Functional enough to wear exploring the outdoors with a good appeal to wearing them around town/dinner, etc. I'd like to see a khaki version!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great looking shorts I got these for my 83 year old dad. They look great on him and are formal enough to wear to an event.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shorts I recently received 2 pairs of these shorts (peatmoss and shark). They are heavier material than expected. That heavier material does inspire confidence in their strength and durability. Shorts fit a hair on the small side and I had to exchange for one size up from my normal size. Shorts are a little more snug on the leg than standard cut but not bad at all. I really like these shorts for daily use. They dry super fast and stretch just enough. I couldn't be happier. If only they came in more colors!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Climbing Shorts These shorts fit comfortably under a harness, have just the right amount of stretch so they don't impede movement and they seem quite durable. I've taken a number bouldering and sport falls that left me with scrapes or bruises but didn't affect the fabric of the shorts. I can't say that about the other shorts I've climbed in!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice shorts These shorts are not as stretchy as the old perio shorts and they run slightly smaller than the others I own. I would have given 5 stars if the fabric was the same and they had the side pocket on the right leg. I

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fit in a medium weight short Truly another exceptional product from Mountain Hardwear. Construction, details everything top of the line. Short is a little heavy as we head into summer so this is more of a three season midwest short but for the mountain states I can see this at altitude all season with the exception of 90+ degree day hikes. It would work fine but just a little heavy in weight for me. Awesome brand and product!
