Reviews

Men's Hardwear AP™ 5-Pocket Pant is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, but ...they’re not AP Pants. They do have a similar feel as the AP Pant, but the side pockets have a strange, stretchy patch where my knife clips which seems not-so-durable; and unless you really need the extra pocket-in-a-rear-pocket, it’s more annoying than useful. Regular AP Pants have zipper’d rear pockets which is better than the tighter pocket inside a normal pocket as the 5-Pocket APs have. The inside lining in the 5-Pocket doesn’t appear to be as high quality as that in regular AP Pant. Lastly, 5-Pocket pants seem more like chinos than technical pants, unlike regular AP Pant. I’m 6’2” 200lbs and the 36x32 fit fine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not My Mountain Hardwear Favorites I'm not thrilled with these pants. That may be because I'm more accustomed to the other pants Mountain Hardwear makes that have some elastomer in them. The material feels a bit stiff and the look is okay, at best. I much prefer the Hardwear AP pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Technical skinny jeans Finally, technical pants that fit like skinny jeans. Very cool. I'm 6'4", 200 lbs and 36 waist/34 inseam fit great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fit is a little snug These pants weren't what I was expecting. The size is a little off and they fit very snug. I would almost go up a pants size for these. The material of these pants are nice and they have a great look, they just fit really tight. Like skinny jeans tight.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from My favourite pants have been ruined! The passenger 5-pocket pants used to be my favourite pants. Roomy, nice thicker canvas material with a bit a stretch. This new version is so bad - material is thin and doesn't feel like canvas at all. The fit is too tight as well. Think hipster-skinny legs. Absolutely devastated that my favourite pants have been ruined. Why did you have to ruin such a great pair of pants?!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pant What can I say. I have these in 2 colours. That's how much I like them. The material is nice and flexible. They feel nice on your skin and they are stylish. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I work in the outdoor industry and I've tried on pants from every major brand. I was already a fan of the AP Scrambler shorts before getting these. I love these pants! Someone finally got it right by adding an extra pocket for a wallet so that you don't wear through the pants super quickly. The only thing I would change would be to get rid of the gusseted knee. You have the option of two other pants with it. Get rid of it for these as they're a more casual pant and have enough stretch already.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Skinny-Jeans Had to return them, they have too much of a "hipster" skinny jeans fit. If you're into that kind of fit you'd like them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I wish the regular AP was I love the AP pant, I only wished it was available in a 5-pocket style and now, low and behold it is. These are lighter than jeans, can slide into work as Khakis (because they're not jeans) and can do everything jeans can. Only thing I'm not sure about is the pocket in the back pocket. It's just kind of there and I'm not sure what it's for.
