Men's Fairing™ Jacket is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Replacement for the Android II I bought this because my Android II was stolen. I hadn't looked at softshells since I bought the Android II in 2014. The Fairing is a little smaller than the Android in the chest, and the arms are slightly tighter but it seems to be a good replacement for it. The fact they dropped the price of the jacket by $30 is nice. A drawback is it only has one inside pocket compared to the 2 the Android had, and the whole jacket seems slightly tighter, but I'd definitely buy the Fairing again and I'd recommend it to someone looking for a replacement for their Android. It's Mountain Hardware you can't go wrong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket This jacket is true to the claimed attributes - cuts wind, repels rain, great style. I took it on a recent fishing trip in NW Ontario, Canada. Temps were 45F early morning, and we were moving at 30 mph in the boat for 40 minutes to get to our spot on the lake, did not feel cold at all. It rained (not a downpour) and water repelled off, I kept dry. I am 6'4", 215#, 36" arm length, fit perfect. Had a thin long sleeve cotton shirt underneath. Great style, too. Received several positive comments on it - the red color (usually go safe with grey/blue/black but stepped out and got the red). Very happy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like it better than competitors similar jacket As a Boy Scout leader who goes on several backpacking trips a year have come to realize Mountain Hardwear is my favorite brand. After my similar competitors jacket went missing decided to try my favorite brand. I like how it has three pockets and no velcro on the sleeves. Should last for years around town and on the trail.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good jacket for the price Owned comparable jackets from different companies (Patagonia, North Face etc). For the price, I think you get a very good quality jacket. If you want to use it for skiing or other mountain activities, it would do but may consider something else. The only design aspect I don't care for is the cuffs on jacket aren't adjustable. They are a bit tight to get hand through now, but will loosen soon...though hopefully not too much. Anyway, this is a good jacket to layer under my shell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Men's Fairing Jacket This is an amazing soft shell. Perfect for cold damp hikes, cool windy days or laying up for the mountain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent low cost insulating softshell Great all around softshell, used it this past week in the ozarks and it broke wind like a champ. One downfall to this jacket having insulation (which is what I was looking for) is that it is heavier than your typical softshell. Regardless, I was warm down to 40 degrees with a t-shirt and this jacket. All around a great buy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A little stiff... Me: 6'2", 230 lbs. X-Large is slightly big and loose. Bought this for a slightly warmer jacket than the monkey man that I already have. Not nearly as comfortable and only slightly warmer. Much better at rain and wind, as described.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First try First try and it is awesome. A little warm for the light breeze but keeps you warm when it's cold out. Would suggest it to anyone in need of a wind breaker and doesn't want to wear a jacket underneath it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Men's Fairing Jacket Love this jacket! Just a tad loose for a large but that is fine for layering. Great jacket for running around in town or walking up the trail behind the house for a morning walk.
