Men's Exponent™ Rain Jacket is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rain gear My son's old Exponent (found in a thrift store) kept him dry for a long (110 mile) trek of primitive camping and hiking during very raining weather. Once the trip was over, he continued to wear it all the time. After 4 years the jacket disappeared and he wanted to replace it with the same model. So far he is as happy with his new Exponent as he was with the old one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best all-around rain jacket Love this jacket. Light enough to pack, tough enough to handle the outdoors, nice enough to wear with my dress slacks. Wore this on a trip to Colorado - hiking, 4-wheeling, rafting and fishing. Did a great job of keeping me dry in afternoon showers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Rain Jacket Love this lightweight rain jacket. Good quality. Pit zips are great to help with air circulation. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Really enjoying the jacket so far. It's holding up nicely in the snow and snow rain mix of NJ. I have not taken it out for a big hike yet but the hours spent outdoors this winter so far it has kept me dry, blocked out the wind. The zippers seal up well Additionally the pit zippers are key!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I beat Seattle’s rain My old mountain hardware jacket was falling apart on the inner lining. I had that sucker for a good 8/9 years and it did it’s job through the rain at the Isle of Man and so many other places. I needed a replacement and had been struggling if it was worth to buy the 200 dollar jackets or not. The reviews seemed decent and I wasn’t planning on using it but for around the town, etc. the “higher end” MH jackets all complained of the jackets sticking to youn when wet so I opted for the lesser priced better reviewed. I got it just in time for a trip to Seattle with a heavy storm coming. Seattle is a PITA to take Uber’s or taxis around and my meetings were all walking distance so the jacket was going to be put to the test. I opted for a size L, in 6’2” 185lbs 32 waist - athletic type so I figured I would be able to layer. A medium would have fit but I don’t think a sweater or hoodie underneath would have worked. It was non stop rain and the temps were fluctuating. I wore it layered with a hoodie that I also picked up from here as well as just a t shirt. It kept me dry. The hood was easily adjusted so I could see but not get wet, as well as waist was adjustable to keep right and not look silly. The sleeves were great length for me who wears 34 sleeves in dress shirts. I didn’t get too hot or too cold in either condition. I was dry and it repelled the water. It did exactly what I needed. Additionally the color choice is awesome. Easy to match. Not ridiculously loud that I can’t wear to a meeting and get funny looks. I’m happy with it and hope to see it lasting as long as my other.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Emergency Poncho I wanted rain shell I could bike commute with every day. I'm a 5.10 155lb male. Small was snug but perfect as I don't like a lot of material catching wind on my ride. I was also, however, looking for a walking around jacket; a later I would throw on every day in the fall, every night in the summer and just generally a go-to. I've had mh shells before and this, to me, felt like a poncho. I'm sure it would have done well in the rain but it was not something I wanted to wear daily. I wanted form and function and this was mostly function.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this coat I had my previous Mountain Hardwear raincoat for 10 years before the lining started to peel. Mountain Hardwear allowed me to return it and use the money towards the one I have now. I could not be happier with this product and that this company stands by their product. Will continue to buy from them!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from disappointed I love MH gear I'm a big guy and their 2x is on money for layering. This jacket not the case. It was even too small on my forearms
