Men's Dragon™ Pant is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too baggy A nice pair of pants but too baggy for me. I was hoping for a tighter fit. I usually use M size but the waist size is too large. I am 6 ft, 165 lbs. The kevlar patches are definitely much lighter than in the picture.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Built to Last!! These pants are indestructible! The added Kevlar through the knees and seat create a bomb proof pair of pants built to withstand the hardest of abuse. Due to the added Kevlar you do find that there is slightly less stretch however this is not a deal breaker. If you looking for a pant to stand up to the elements and abuse then these are the ones!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these pants! Have worn these pants on 2 local day hikes now and they are great! On the first hike, wearing my normal hiking pants I would have on a base layer. So I put these on over my base layer it the base layer was not needed. These pants are plenty warm and plenty tough. Accidentally poked them with my hiking pole and not a scratch was made to them. Got them on sale and they are worth every penny. Only improvements for me would be more pockets, maybe back ones?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Long size still too short I am 6’6” with a 36” waist, but my legs aren’t extremely long, relative to my body. I wear pants off the rack at 34”, with an ideal inseam of 35” or 36”. I ordered the Large Long in these pants and they are still considerably too short. Disappointing. Will return, can’t comment further on any of them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for tall dudes So, MHW is the only company I have found that makes pants in a 32" waist with 34" inseam. These fit me perfect at 6'2" with long legs. I also own the Chockstone Alpine softshell pants, which are identical except for the kevlar reinforcements. Here are my thoughts: -Chockstone Alpine pants are more comfortable because of the lack of Kevlar. They stretch more and you barely notice they are there. Can perform any motion possible by mankind and they will accommodate the movement -That is not the case with the Dragon pants. During activities such as lunges, bending over, sitting down, etc, they tend to ride down. This is because the buttocks and knees do not stretch. Not a dealbreaker if you want the bombproof durability. Just know that you will know you are wearing these pants when they ride down after squatting down. -The belt leaves something to be desired. I removed the fasteners and attached them to a 1" wide elastic band in place of the nylon webbing belt. Simulates an elastic band in the pants which I prefer. -The guide pocket zipper is slightly smaller than the one on the Chockstone Alpine pants. Not a big deal; I love the location and angle of this zipper regardless. -No rear seat pocket on the Dragon. I don't really care about that though. -There are small loops around the bottom cuffs for attaching paracord to make an improvised gaiter. The loops are NOT sufficiently sewed in, and I had one blow out one time. I easily mended it and reinforced the rest with my sewing machine, have not had further problems. All in all these pants rock. I use them for winter climbing. Will last a long time. Would recommend, with the one caveat being that they're less comfortable than the Alpine Chockstone pants, in place of durable Kevlar reinforcements.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome softshell pants I bought these pants for an upcoming mountaineering class and for winter biking. The class is a ways off, but for winter biking here in MN, they have performed excellently. With a good base layer, I have been able to extend my bike commute by months. The pants are comfortable, breathable and very durable. Can't wait to try them out in the upcoming mountaineering school and subsequent summits. I own several pieces of Mountain Hardwear gear, and I have always been thrilled with the quality. Keep up the good work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great functional pants Finally, pants that fit perfectly! The large/long sizing is great for my frame (6'5"/210lbs). The material is thicker than typical hiking pants, so it is great for every season aside from summer. The knee and read end reinforcements are a welcomed addition for the longevity of the pants. The pockets are not particularly deep, so ensure you always have the zippers up. One pair of my Mountain Hardwear hiking pants have been going strong for 10 years, so that is why I continually return to this brand. I only wish Mountain Hardwear produced more sizing options for taller people across their pant product line.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The One in All As the name suggests once on gives you better freedom in twist and turn movements. Also the knees and buttock kevlar pads tend to grip to your body/underwear once you are in motion so that they won’t rise above uncovering your boots. The incorporated belt is slim and feels comfy when tied not like a thin cord nor like a bulky belt. They’re definitely made for outdoor oriented activities like: climbing, caving, paragliding, zip lining and any jobs that require a harness with respect to the elements of exposure the pant was made. At 6’2” tall the L inseam/34” fits perfectly over the boots. For a summer day trekking in Arizona I’ve purchased the Chockstone Hike pants.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Pant for Ice climbing I bought these pants for ice climbing and they work great. the stretchy fabric allows you to move and is fast drying. they seems to be pretty durable with re-enforcement on the knees and butt. I am supper happy Mountain Hardware has "long" sizing as its hard to find this in technical pants. They are true to size and look good. 32 waist 34 inseam 205lbs I would recommend these pants for cold weather and ice climbing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect... These soft shell pants are bomber. I got them in State Orange and got compliments the first time I wore them. I've used them for some high altitude mountaineering & hiking. I plan on using them split boarding this winter. They block the wind and light snow was not a problem. Almost perfect: these are heavy weight, they NEED thigh vents like my BD Dawn Patrol soft shells. On the way up, I had the fly open and the pockets unzipped to ventilate and it just wasn't enough. The waist is cut low, especially in the back. with the wind blowing at my back, I got a cold spot in my lower back. They need to be an inch or two higher in the waist. The thighs are slightly tight. My legs are lean & athletic, not body builder thighs. While stretchy, I don't want to be pulling on the pants for a few thousand steps on the way up.
