Men's Canyon Pro™ Long Sleeve Shirt is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Excellent shirt but I wore this shirt for the first time for my camping. The shirt feels great, very soft, light and the sizing fits perfectly. However after my first wear, it created a lint ball around the waistline.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great in the heat. Acquired this shirt this hot summer for cycling around the city. I love the air flow that occurs coming into the chest vents along the pockets. I do prefer the lighter colour for this shirt. Have one light and one of the darker. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very comfortable shirt I am not trying to nitpick on this shirt but I know Mountain Hardwear likes to hear so I'm telling you chest Pockets are too small that's all

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Disappointment Let me start my review by saying that I am a big fan of Mountain Hardware as a brand in general and I absolutely love their line of Canyon long sleeve shirts in particular. I have 3 of those shirts in 3 different colors and have travelled around the world with them. They are all very light, breathable, comfortable and the pockets and the roll-up sleeves are incredibly useful, regardless whether you are at stuffy airports, exploring the city or hiking in the mountains. So when I was looking at buying the Canyon Pro shirt I had very high expectations. It is marketed as the “ultimate backpacking shirt” and a “Pro” at that. Naturally, given my past experience with the cheaper version, as well the price point and marketing of this shirt I was very excited to get one of these. Unfortunately, the shirt has turned out to be an absolute disappointment. First of all the shirt is not very breathable – I started sweating in it in 23 Celsius in the shade and I am not a heavy sweater at all. So I can see how this material will need the mesh vents under the arms. But I honestly can’t imagine wearing this shirt hiking or even walking in 30 degrees or more. Secondly, there are no roll up sleeves on this shirt. Let me say that again, despite the claims, I have turned this shirt inside out to seek the “roll-up” feature inside of the sleeves, and there is nothing there or anywhere else to help you keep your sleeves rolled up. This is a big problem for me because I don’t buy shirts that I travel with if they don’t have that feature. And this shirt falsely advertises that it has something it does not. Thirdly, the cut of this shirt is very slim. I actually like that a lot because it is a perfect fit for my body but when you do try to roll up the sleeves those are so tight that I can barely get them over my elbows and to my biceps, even though I absolutely do not have big pipes. So, the body is a perfect fit but the sleeves and the arms are super very tight and that makes them uncomfortable if you decide to improvise a roll up [without that feature]. So it seems this shirt has not even been designed to let you roll up your sleeves at all, forget about some loop or a button to hold them there once they are rolled. Lastly, the clip-on buttons are very inconsistent in their performance – some are very hard co click in and take a lot of pressure to unclick open. Others are easy to click in and pop open on their own at random times. This is particularly annoying for the chest pockets where I usually put my passport and boarding pass while traveling. So, all in all, this shirt has been a terrible disappointment to me. Perhaps I had high expectations given that my normal Canyon Long Sleeve shirts are my most favorite shirts to travel with but, on its own, I would not spend more than 30$ on this shirt. It is absolutely not better than the normal version, it costs 30 % more money and it even lacks some of the major features of the cheaper shirts – like the roll up sleeve buttons. Its sleeves are tight, its buttons are not good and it doesn’t breathe well. I regret buying this terrible shirt and wish I can send it back the Mountain Hardware because they need to go back to the drawing board if they want to really have the best backpacking pro shirt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Traveler's Choice I have the black one, and can wear it anywhere. It's perfect for long plane rides, with the light venting material on the underarm playing a huge role. And then you don't have to change when you hit the town. Just wore it on a long flight to Spain, and then wore it like three more times during the week. I'm getting another one. One weird thing though ... the button that closes the right arm sleeve is inverted ... it's like the male and female parts of the snap were put on the wrong sides, so it's a bit awkward when closed. But I've usually worn it sleeves rolled up, so not a problem. This is a quality control thing that should have been caught. Otherwise, great shirt.
