Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lets make a stretchy shirt.. but then lets make the whole chest and upper sleeve and shoulders not stretchy...SMH!!! Honestly the main portion of this thing is super stretchy . However the chest and the sleeves are not and are a totally different material. And the fact that this zero stretch material sleeve is connected to the zero stretch fabric chest whenever you move your arms it pulls on the chest portion and is restrictive. Maybe its ok for a couch potato or to lay around the house but i bought this as a layer over my base layer and under my goose jacket for backpacking... I cant use this thing out there,, every step while moving with my trekking poles i will feel this thing grabbing up on my shoulders and chest. I would wind up taking it off and using it for tinder while out there,,, i swear..im very particular with my gear when i go on my adventures. I love MH stuff and own somewhere in the 3-4 thousand dollars worth of your stuff but lately quality control has been off (sizing, ==, and honestly just flat out design),, its not a craftsmanship thing so i wont blame the person who sewed it together.. Its a drawing board issue so i will blame the guy who came up with this concept... Whats the point of having stretchy material is you then put zero stretch material in the exact spots you need it to stretch!!! the arms shoulders and chest... GO BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nearly perfect It has regular sewn sleeves, so it. Bunches just above the shoulder joint and lifts the jacket up. 5 pockets, two of the five are drop in pockets in the inside. Actual perfect sizing on the hood. The zipper doesn't have the tradition Mountain Hardwear S shape, the wind flap is the light weight insulation warped in its nylon shell. The type you find on a full insulation jacket. 100 wt hard face fleece is used. No thumb holes. No hood pulls for sizing. It's pretty sweet piece of gear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket for the price I have used this for cross country skiing trail running and hiking and have found it to be a great jacket. Its comfortable breathable and can be worn as a underlay. So far so good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Runs big I ordered this jacket and when I received it was sorta a super XL, so it does run slightly larger than the posted size. It is an awesome jacket other than the size disfunction. I hope MH will look at keeping this one in their line-up, it is a bit pricey but it's a really good technical piece.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Innovative Fleece synthetic down hybrid. I do a lot of hiking in Utah/AZ and Yosemite in October right before the first snowfall and my two favorite mid layers are fleece and synthetic down. I prefer fleece for moisture management but when the winds pick up I use synthetic down for extra wind protection. This jacket caught my eye because it does both. I'm 5 ft 10 , 170 with a 41 inch chest and the medium fits perfect. The hybrid construction allows me to get the wicking benefits of fleece with the added warmth and wind protection of a synthetic down jacket. I have been hiking with this piece in the mid 40s to mid 50s as an outer layer with winds in the 10 to 15 mph range and it has been an outstanding option for me. Two zipper hand pockets and an excellent fitting hood make this a great technical mid layer and an awesome jacket for around town too. Only input would be to add thumb holes in the sleeves.
