Lamina™ Z Bonfire -30°F / -34°C Sleeping Bag is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm enough for a winter in the Yukon Great bag! I used this bag for a winter of field work in Yukon Territory, Canada. The temperature regularly dropped into the -20s and occasionally into the -30s, and I was generally comfortable sleeping in just a thin baselayer, and I added a fleece or two for the coldest nights. It's pretty bulky, so not ideal for backpacking with, but since I was in the same location every night it worked great for me. The only drawback was the lack of an interior pocket (something the older models of the same bag had), which meant I had to store my alarm clock in the sleeping bag with me so it didn't die in the cold. I'm 6'0", but I went with a long bag so I could store some clothes at the bottom of the bag to keep warm for the next morning and that was a great length.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm through all conditions I'm a big fan of Mountain Hardwear products, and needed a new synthetic bag to fit my winter camping needs. I usually pair a synthetic outer bag with a down inner bag for the camping that I do (temps can reach below -40F) but I was just using this bag on its own for a trip outside Yellowstone on the MT/WY border. It kept me nice and toasty! I'm very happy with the size and quality. The one complaint I would have is the zipper can be a little sticky. I would definitely re-purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice and toasty Have always had down filled bags. After a money consideration went with this one. Happy with the quality and it is nice and warm at 0 degrees. Definitely happy with the bag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One month in the Himalayas I took this along for a combination climb of Mera and Island peaks in Nepal in November of 2017. While 5lbs seems a little heavy, I was very happy to have the warmth at some of the higher camps and on nights spend in low lying valleys where the temperatures dropped below zero. I was never once cold in this bag, and it was comfortable enough that I was able to maintain sanity on those days where you spend 15+ hours in the tent. The synthetics kept the materials working when condensation would drip on the bag. Worth the extra pound to two.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Warm !! Great for super cold weather, used for winter camping in -10 degrees and I had no issue with warmth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best subzero bag I've had This kept me and my water bottles nice and comfortable on top of Avalanche Gulch on My Shasta. I've never had a better night'ssleep outside below zero.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Bag-Bad Zipper The bag was fantastically warm. I used it for 7 days in October in Colorado. It kept me plenty warm in single-digit temperatures at 11k’ in 20-40kt winds. The zipper however is NOT good. I was stuck twice & after that was forced to leave bag unzipped enough to slip out of the bag. This left me with the proverbial cold shoulder (left to be exact), but better a cold shoulder that spending time extricating yourself from a straight jacket. Hard to call it a bad product because of a bad feature but that feature is a big deal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Warmth-to-Cost Ratio I've had this bag for over a year now, and have had the opportunity to use it on a few occasions where the overnight temperature hovered at or below zero degrees. Here are my thoughts. Most people who buy a synthetic bag are less interested in weight and more interested in warmth. Count me in that group. Now, factor in cost and this bag delivers one of the best warmth-to-cost ratios available. Yes, it weighs 5+ pounds, and no, it won't fit into the bag compartment on most backpacks. If that's what's important to you, spend an additional $200-500 for a down bag that weighs 2 pounds less and MIGHT keep you as warm. Bottom line: This is a high quality synthetic bag that appears to be true to its temperature rating. It has good shoulder, hip and foot room, is well constructed, maintains its loft, and repels water. All in all, you'd be hard pressed to find a better value. As for those who have trashed this bag (and others) for their zippers getting snagged or stuck, I'm pleased to report that I've never had an issue. It's all about being smarter than the zipper.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bulky but warm! I used this bag for a month in the Himalayas, at altitudes as high as 6m/20k ft...despite how bulky the bag is rolled up it did the job (even without a liner)- at most times I typically had to open it in the middle of the night to allow heat to escape. The zipper along the side is not the easiest to pull up and down while inside, and typically sticks or snags the liner which is the biggest issue I had with the bag itself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Military Review I recently used this bag in Republic of Georgia for numerous field exercises throughout the winter season. I also took it to Germany, where we spent a month in the Bavarian climate in February. As I laid toasty at night, I found pleasure in hearing my other teammates toss and turn shivering and complaining about the cold. I was pretty much sweating in this bag and the double zipper allowed for ventilation. LOVE IT
