Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Backpacking Tent I have searched everywhere for an Ultralight tent that would be best suited for backpacking, while still having enough room inside to where I don't feel cramped. I got this tent for myself and my pack, and it is the perfect size. I love to keep my pack inside with me, so this would definitely work well for two people if you stored the packs where they belong, in the vestibule. This tent is extremely sturdy, and has lightened the load of my pack by about 3 pounds. Don't hesitate, buy it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Backpacking Tent for 2 The product is high quality--as expected with MHW. Lightweight, easy to set up, covers all of the basics of a backpacking tent. My wife is about half my size, and we use it frequently with our 75lb labrador. It's snug with the three of us, but that is not the fault of the tent. When I use it on my own with the dog or with my wife, it is the perfect size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent. Rugged. Light weight. This is one tough but light tent. I’ve been using this for enough miles to know it’s solid build but not a back breaker. I’m 6’4 240 and this tent fits me and my smoking hot petite wife. Without fear two sleep snug but comfortable. Rest well and easy with this purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprising durability Bought this out of hope rather than expectation as size and weight were the many selling points. It seemed flimsy but fine for non-trying conditions, so I happily ventured into the New Mexico desert with it. Well, as I got to my campsite, the wind picked up dramatically as storm clouds moved in and I feared the worst with the tent resembling a sail as I struggled to anchor it without being able to peg it into the sand. I weighed it down by forcing my backpack into it mid-air, and once inside, braced myself as an electrical rainstorm hit. Ten hours later, all dry inside despite what seems a bare minimum with the flysheet, and amazingly no rips in the material. A big recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light, quick, and durable I purchased the Ghost UL2 for a cross country bicycle tour. It is very light and packed easily into a rear pannier with room for other gear. Setting the tent up is a breeze. After months of setting up and breaking down every day there was no damage to the tent walls or floor. The vestibule is large enough to fit 8 panniers, but 4 is more manageable. Some condensation build up on the fly, but the tent body remained dry even in down pours. Kept us warm (enough) when we got caught in snow in the Rockies. 3,600 miles later and the Ghost UL2 is still going strong. Thanks Mountain Hardware!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight awesomeness Its amazing how light this tent is. Though its listed as a 2 person, you need to be VERY friendly with the second person to be able to sleep. Its super spacious for a solo camper, and its still extremely lightweight if only used by 1 person. The only thing I wish they would have done was used a slightly denser floor material. I would have gladly had it weigh 2 or 4 more oz if the floor were more durable. I haven't had any problems yet, but it would have given me more piece of mind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super light, compact & durable My wife and I recently used this tent on our last 8 day excursion into the high country of Yosemite NP, the tent was put through the gauntlet and survived like a champ. It's next mission is a full through hike of the JMT this summer. We did a test setup once at home before leaving on this trip and had zero issues popping it up with the new single pole design, making it simple for anyone to build in a pinch. We purchased a ground cloth knowing we would be on all types of terrain, dirt/rocks, granite slabs and deep snowpack, the tent & ground cloth survived all of the above with flying colors and zero tears or rips. We were hit with a rainstorm, hail storm and a late night snowstorm, each time the tent kept us warm and cozy, although it left us a good amount of condensation on the interior in the mornings. This is to be expected with such a minimalist design and is easily solved with a pack towel and some wind/sun to dry it out. The tent drys quickly as well as the MHW sleeping bags with q-shield technology. A couple evenings we were able to sleep with the rainfly off which left us bone dry in the mornings. All in all this is an excellent minimalist tent, it packs down to the size of a duck pin bowling ball and takes minutes to set up. My wife and I are both in the 5 foot 6 range and were cozy with our packs in the bottom of the tent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super light, super packable, get the footprint! This is an incredibly light tent. I have an REI single man that is easily twice the packed size and weight. Although this is listed as a two man tent - I am 6'2" and the little bit of extra room makes it a perfect solution. I have one concern about the durability and longevity of the plastic connector above the door. It seems to not only be the lynchpin to sturdy-ing the tent but also its Achilles heal. Time will tell, it would be nice if they included a replacement.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super Light I bought this tent after my REI Half Dome finally wore out. I wanted something that comfortably fit myself and my gear but was as light as possible because, why not. This tent is definitely light, it actually weighs less than my sleeping bag! Because it's a light weight tent the materials are thinner than a heavier tent so I am just a bit more careful with it. To stake the rain fly properly I had to use a couple of additional stakes which seemed strange that it wouldn't come with the right amount. I also bought the footprint, I was a little disappointed as I thought it would be a thin material that would pack down small like the tent but it's a thicker sort of paper like material that adds quite a bit of bulk, not to mention it makes loud crinkling noises when you move around on it. Overall the tent is great, the footprint is less than desirable especially for the price.
