Love it! My favorite coat of all! February 22, 2014
Nice Lite Jacket True to size, light down jacket. December 9, 2013
nice coat I live in AK and am used to wearing layers. I like that this is lighweight but warmer than other brands lightweight synthetic jackets. It makes it more of a 4 season jacket for me. Its not meant to be a winter coat like the other people are complaining about unless you live down south. The fit is perfect and it folds up into the pocket making it great for traveling. November 26, 2013
Not a jacket for temps below 60 degrees I purchased the jacket because we travel a lot and it is easy to pack, I was in Amsterdam this week and the jacket did not keep me warm unless I was wearing multi layers. The temps were 50-60 degrees. I like the jacket for style and fit. I would not call this a late fall or early winter jacket. Use as a sweater not a coat. June 29, 2013
light but warm I just recently bought this jacket, and LOVE that they have made it with a little longer torso then some of their other jackets. For those of us with long torso's, this is great! June 20, 2013
Overall good choice in jackets This isn't one of the steroetypical "marshmallow" down coats. As long as you aren't planning on heading up K2, it will still keep you warm. I haven't yet taken it on a fall or wintertime trip for Bishop bouldering, I am confident that it would do the trick. The fit is good, and it compresses well. Overall, a great jacket. April 22, 2013
Love this little jacket I love this little lightweight jacket. It is my go-to on cooler (30s), but not cold days. It blocks the wind and insulates just enough I am comfortable. Living at 9200 in the rockies, I wear jackets nine months out of the year. In the spring and fall, I wear them in the morning at the very least. April 17, 2013
Not sure about the value This jacket is a great LAYER, it is NOT warm enough for anything below 50 deg. without another layer. I got this jacket at half price and am pleased with it so far. BUT, at $200 I would be unhappy with the seeming fragility of this jacket- a slight snag and you might loose a lot of down. Also, true to other folks' word, the zipper is sub par. I like the style, and am happy having paid $100. I wouldn't go for it for $200. April 16, 2013
Just right for spring/summer/fall in Maine Very lightweight and compact. Not quite as warm as I expected an 800-fill jacket to be but still great considering I don't need it for winter. The wink color did end up being a bit brighter than I expected, but in a good way. I'm happy with this purchase! March 26, 2013
nitrous jacket I did buy two not really knowing how they would be. I was intrigued by the compactness and the advertised warmth that it would be, also the light weightness of the garment. Folding into it's own pocket is pretty cool. I haven't had a chance to wear it outside yet,but it does pretty well. March 24, 2013
this product is exactly what I thought it would be Fit is true to size, warm.. very nice jacket! March 8, 2013
great 3 season piece I love this piece and own both a green and a black one. I use it for everything. I use it as a layering piece for skiing, a jacket on the coldest days, and a 'sweater' while at work or running errands. I'm always cold and this piece works great in all temps. The lines of the piece are very flattering and there is very little bulk. I used to avoid all down jackets due to how big they make you look, but technology(down) has come a long way. March 8, 2013
Great Jacket, Terrible Zipper I want to love my jacket, but I just get way too frustrated with the zipper. I think I spend more time fighting trying to get in/out of my jacket then I do trekking along. Love that it's lightweight, love the color, love the packability/portability, love the fit... but the zipper is killing it for me. For whatever reason, the zipper keeps splitting open at the bottom which is not only drafty but it makes it a bear to get off. The only other thing I'd prefer to fix on this jacket is it'd be great to have slightly longer sleeves with thumbholes on em. I don't have ape arms, but the sleeves are just a tad too short for my taste. For the price, I would've expected a higher quality zipper. February 26, 2013
Excellent light weight Perfect weight for layering or no bulk. Fabulous green color. Fit is unusual. Looks very boxy in picture but is actually not. Size M most likely would fit a size 8 at largest. Sleeves were very short and no bust room at all! Order at least 1 size larger. February 16, 2013
Was so excited... I wish I could like this jacket more than I do. Overall, I am having buyer's remorse. The fit on me personally is the biggest problem so if it fits you, you might love it. For reference, I am 5'9'' and 130 lbs. and I have this jacket in medium. The torso length is good and I do have a long torso. The sleeves are too short and it is too tight in the shoulder but I do have pretty broad shoulders. The large would have been way too baggy, though. I do not think this jacket is worth the price. There is nothing special about it and it is not the warm, toasty jacket I was hoping for. The good: -love the color- red onion (which is actually pink) -weighs nothing and packs down to nothing -probably great as a layering piece but because of the fit, I can't move my arms when layered -hasn't shed too much down -fabric is tougher than it feels The bad: -the fit -fill weight is low so it is really not that warm -drafty because the wrist openings are too loose -stitching is already coming out after only a few weeks of casual wear -the zipper feels like it is going to break every time I zip this thing I have already picked out a new jacket... LOVING IT! This is my go-to jacket. We've been getting temperatures in the mid 20's. It's blistering cold out, but this jacket keeps me toasty. I highly recommend the jacket, but I strongly urge you to order a size up. I'm a small in everything I wear (5'4, 120 lbs, C cup), but I got a medium in this and I couldn't be happier. January 14, 2013
This jacket is perfect Great jacket for cold weather - great layer for extreme cold. This will definitely be my new favorite all around jacket. January 14, 2013
Nice, lightweight jacket Like everything about the jacket - except the zipper. Once zipped, the zipper tends to "unzip" from the bottom quite easily. The slightest tug pulls the zipper apart at the bottom. Don't know if this is specific to my jacket or if they all do this. November 20, 2012
Drkiwipt I love this jacket. Light weight and scrunches up into a very small size for travel. I wish the waist was a little smaller and the arms a bit longer but overall-a very functional jacket. Note: I do have long arms, broad shoulders and a narrow waist. I tried the size small, but the sleeves were too short.. waist still was a bit big even on the small. But for what i'm looking for, this jacket is great. Love the color also. June 29, 2012
A Great Buy I just moved to the Rockies and needed a down coat to throw in my backpack for hiking/backpacking. This coat is perfect- light and warm. If I need protection from precipitation or wind, I can just throw a shell on top! I am 5'8" and ordered a medium. I like my coats a little bit big. May 25, 2012
it's perfect! This jacket is amazing... incredibly lightweight and not at all bulky, but keeps you toasty! I would recommend this to anyone and everyone. March 23, 2012
Very Light and warm...... I use this as an under layer while skiing or boarding and even while riding my motorcyle. Not bulky at all! March 20, 2012
Perfect Lightweight Puffy I love this jacket! It's perfect for days when I don't need TONS of protection from the elements. It's lightweight, packs down nicely, is super comfy and warm! It also makes a nice layer underneath a shell. March 2, 2012
Light and warm I love the super light weight, the softness and how warm this jacket is. The seams need better construction though - the feathers are always coming through the seams and after having it the jacket for a month, the material ripped - so I can't say it holds up very well. I got the oasis blue which i actually a turquoise blue, not a powder blue like the picture, but I am very happy with the c olor. February 16, 2012
No complaints! I wore this to a family vacation and my mother and sister have now purchased identical jackets. My husband having already taken my lead and purchased the Men's with a hood. The lightweight versatility and packability is hard to beat. One small concern is that my husband has already managed to spring a few leaks but he is generally hard on all of his clothing. I have logged a lot of miles without a similar issue. January 31, 2012
Love It!! I've wanted this coat for a couple of years. This coat is very warm and light; soft to the touch. It's a great mild winter coat or base layer. January 25, 2012
I had to have this jacket A friend arrived from oregon wearing this nitrous jacket in blue and she had barely walked through the door when i told her i had to have her jacket. She took it off so i could try it on and in two minutes i had already tried it on, run upstairs and orderd it online. Three days later it arrived in d.c. And i havent taken it off ssince. So light, so warm, so flattering. January 25, 2012
Warm Jacket This jacket is fun and warm! It's a mid-weight down, but keeps you very warm without the extremely "puffy" look of a down jacket. The jacket zipps up and is very comfortable and warm around your neck. The dewberry color is GREAT! January 17, 2012
A cloud of warmth This is a super light but warm jacket that looks tailor made. Have had it two weeks now. Fits with layering underneath plus fits under my shell comfortably. So light you forget you're wearing any jacket at all and you're just walking in a cloud of warmth. January 14, 2012
Love It!! Love the color and fit. Very warm, and fit under my other jackets. January 12, 2012
Women's Nitrous Jackert Very light weight and surprisingly warm! Love this jacket. December 29, 2011
Lightweight jacket for mild winter days This jacket is toasty enough for those mild days (above 15F) and is fun to wear. I purchased the Hot Rod color a couple weeks ago and have gotten lots of compliments on it since. Not waterproof or great for really windy days though. I bet it'll be really great as an insulation layer for hikes, though I haven't used it as such yet. December 27, 2011
Amazing jacket, but bad color representation Love the weight and fit of this jacket, BUT beware of the color. I bought the Hotrod, which looks like an almost brick red on the website. It is a VERY bright orangey red! As it turns out, I love the color, but it is nowhere near what I though it would be... December 25, 2011
Warm but light; nice. Slightly skinny arms. This jacket weighs nothing but is toasty warm in high 20s/low 30s. I love it. The only improvement would be to allow a little more room in the arms for layers. I'm a swimmer (and runner, and horseback rider) with good shoulder and arm muscles. The jacket fits fine over a shirt. A bit tight over a shirt plus a fleece pullover. If you have skinny arms you should be fine, even with layers. December 17, 2011
whisper light and awesome color I live in Western Washington, where it's hard to get warm in winter. I bought this for both outdoor use and everyday use. It fits easily under my rain jacket and is so light and comfortable! I was torn between the purple and the "hot rod." Neither looked very good on the website. My husband surprised me with the dark orange. It's a bright tangerine color, rather than the dark rust it looks like online. I'm excited for a warm, comfortable winter. November 10, 2011
Great Mid Weight This jacket was a great mid weight jacket for use when it is really cold. It also works well just over a baselayer when you stop moving and temps aren't that cold. October 17, 2011
Great down sweater I have this jacket size Small and in the red/ orange color. The color is a nice dark orange, though if I were meeting someone for the first time, I'd say I'm wearing a red jacket. I'm very cold-natured, and the jacket is a nice complement to a thin sweater underneath. Fits snug enough that I can get a rain jacket over it. I would not describe this as a jacket, however. It definitely falls more in the down sweater family. Not water proof (barely water resistant) and it does not stop the wind. It is a perfect under layer for chilly days and will be a good layer for driving in once winter really sets in. I did spend an entire rainy Saturday in it recently and with a rain shell over it it was the perfect thing. My upper body was never cold. I'm very satisfied, despite being surprised by its layered quality. October 3, 2011
Beautiful Jacket All Around Beautiful Jacket All Around - fit is just right - especially at the armpits, the warmth is lovely, and the workmanship in the construction of the jacket is beautiful. I sew clothes as a hobby, so I know work workmanship and care when I see it. And it's light as a feather! I love this jacket. August 24, 2011
