Reviews

Women's Monkey Woman™ 200 Jacket is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's ok I found this coat about 7 years ago and have always wanted one. I loved it because it had a dense fleece pile and felt like a stand alone piece. It felt thick like carpet. It was also true to size. Finally treated myself to the coat only to find that it fits loose and somewhat frumpy around the chest and upper arm area. It is not a windstopper like the previous years model and the fleece is thin in areas. I would name this style something else to prevent confusion. Glad I bought it on sale.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great jacket! Bought this for my girlfriend because she was always stealing mine to wear. Got mine a few years ago and it has help up great and survived many adventures. I noticed this one is a little thinner than the last, still is super warm though, lightweight, stylish and a good value for the price and name. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good jacket for anything from hiking the trails to everyday wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this jacket I have a closet full of coats/jackets but THIS jacket is my go-to. I've owned my first one for 5 years and it's so worn it is now my barn jacket. I have a new Monkey jacket for other wear. Layered over a turtle neck it is warm and soft. I hope Mt Hardware keeps this style and maybe introduce in different colors in the future. Mountain Hardware rocks.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ugly pocket I have not purchased this jacket mostly because I do not like the look of the pocket. It's great it has a packet but why put the different color and material on the pocket? Distracting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket! I bought this jacket for my 14 year old daughter and it is great! The blue/gray color is beautiful, the fleece is thick and super cosy, and the fit is flattering. She is petit at 5'0 with an athletic build and the XS fits perfectly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as good as it used to be I've owned 2 of the older 'non streamlined' Monkey Woman 200 jackets and loved them. Not slim fitting, able to layer underneath and fit true to size. The new MW 200 just isn't the same and I don't like it nearly as much. Try to find the yellow labeled MW fleece if you the regular fitting Monkey Woman. If you want a slim fitting jacket that doesn't fit nearly like older MH goods, then this fleece might be for you. At least the fleece is still the same fluffy and soft!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome layering fleece I was looking for a zip up fleece that wasn't too thick to allow for easier layering under wind or rain jackets. The Monkey Woman works great for this. The fabric is light, but warm. Can wear on it's own in moderately cool temps. I got the mountain color and love it, b/c it goes with just about anything. Also love the front pocket on this fleece. I'll add that I've worn this almost daily and frequently in the field over the last 2 months. It's been stuffed in packs, treated roughly, and is holding up well so far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super cozy, doesn't block wind This fleece is super soft and super cozy. I love wearing it. I don't recommend it as an outermost layer in cold and windy conditions, as I feel the wind goes right through it. It's great under a windbreaker though. I'm 5'5, 110lb and the fit of this fleece on me is just about right. It's not super fitted and it's not baggy. I wouldn't mind if the arms were just a tad slimmer, but I have super skinny arms. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase because I love how soft and cozy this fleece is!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review from a Carolinian This is my second monkey jacket and I love it. Before this jacket, I bought the monkey jacket they had 3 years ago. The original one is still in perfect condition and still soft as ever, I just wanted another one. I am 5'6" and 130 lbs and the Medium fits perfectly. This one has a longer arm length, which is nice. I will say it is not as warm as the original, but it is perfect for layering. It is not bulky and I don't get too hot when layering. Still as soft as the original, but not as thick as mentioned before. I still love it and wear it as much as possible.
