Women's Ghost Whisperer™ Down Jacket is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 51.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth it ! I've been looking at this jacket for a long time and had the desire to get one... When it comes to packability and travel, the Ghost Whisperer can't be beat. If you're backpacking, this is your jacket. If you're traveling in high style, this is your jacket. The investment is worth it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great except! Beautiful jacket and should fit according to the size chart and it does except for the arm holes and shoulder area. A jacket that's designed for rock climbing and wearing a harness should accommodate for the athletic shoulder. To go with the next size up is too big everywhere else. The color is quite lovely

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect I love this jacket! This is my second one! I never leave home without it! Light weight and warm, hardly takes up any room... wether I'm camping or traveling this jacket has been a staple!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the Q.Shield I wore this jacket the other day in my convertible driving in the rain. It did not get soggy, stayed lofty. It stays very comfortable and breathes. The weight is just unbelievable. It is super thin and light, I am careful with it because I expect it cannot be too durable. I find the shape fits me well, I am 5'8" and about 175, I bought the XL.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Came up a little short I loved the color, the feel, the warmth, the cut, the length of the sleeves, but the jacket was too short for me. I'm tall and the sleeves were an excellent length, but the body of the jacket was too short for my taste. I prefer my Mountain Hardwear Nitrous Down Jacket; it is a good length. Compared to the Nitrous jacket, the Whisper's cuffs were very open. The Whisper has soft insides to their cuffs, but I didn't feel like they would keep the heat in or snow out like my Nitrous because they weren't as tight/stretchy. I returned the Whisper jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ghost Whisperer jacket Not as great as the same jacket I bought in 2013 but still great. Miss the color of the jacket I purchased back then.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from flimsy As other products in the Ghost Whisperer line, this jacket is extremely light. Unfortunately there is a price you pay. One is the product price itself and the other is durability. The fabric is so thin that it tears easily. Also the whole jacket construction is so focused on making it the lightest jacket in the world that many quality corners are cut. This definitely is not built to last.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Changed the cut I recently purchased a new Ghost Whisperer to replace my older GW (2010, I believe!). I absolutely loved my old one & have worn it to death, so it was time ... For reference, I'm 5'4" and weigh 133 lbs. My old GW was a medium & my new one is a medium, also. I used the sizing chart for bust/waist to make sure I was ordering the correct size. A few things have changed with the GW over the years--some good, some not. * The water repellent down is a huge plus. * Incredibly lightweight & the warmth/weight ratio rocks. * The hood fits closely around your face for warmth without being constricting. * The torso is feminine shaped while still being plenty loose enough for layers and comfort. * The back is a bit longer now than the front, which is a nice improvement. Unfortunately, a couple things have been changed with the fit of the GW. * The armpits are *tight*. They don't constrict circulation, but they do make layering uncomfortable in the armpits. Also, I am constantly aware of the tightness of the armpits ... ugh. My old GW doesn't have this problem. I'm tempted to return my jacket because of the pits. :( * The arms are about 3" too loooong. And unfortunately, MHW changed the elastic in the wrists, so it is too loose to hold the sleeves up so they don't hang down over my hands. I can roll the sleeves up, but for the price & function ... why? In summary, I'm super sad about the fit/cut changes the GW has gone through. My old version is my favorite jacket I've ever owned & I put it through a LOT of wear over the past 6 years. I was hoping the new one would be similar. It isn't. And it's just too expensive to keep in the hopes that it will relax or that I will grow to love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dream puffy So warm, so light. I have the black and it's shiny and beautiful. I have the medium and it fits just a hair big, I'm 5'7 145 but think small would not be optimal for layering or activities. Rumor is its a little sensitive when it comes to wear and tear but so far it has held up to my everyday accidental bumping into sharp objects. Been wearing it as a casual jacket and not planning on using it skiing because I want it to stay pretty. Love this thing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well-endowed women, be warned! After a lot of research, I ordered this and the Torsun shell. I like both of them except for 2 things, both of which have to do with the fact that I am well-endowed. 1) The pockets are placed higher than on any jacket I've ever owned. I have no idea why Mountain Hardwear places their pockets so high, but I hope they read this review and re-think that. On the Ghost Whisperer, if I have the jacket zipped closed, it literally looks like the zipper toggles are hanging from my boobs. I like to keep a pair of liner gloves in one pocket and a beanie in the other pocket. Because the pockets are placed so high, I end up with the bulge that the gloves and hat make right under my boobs, instead of down closer to my waist like in all the jackets I've ever owned before. 2) The chest is a little tight. With a thin Icebreaker base layer on, I can zip the Ghost Whisperer, and zip the Torsun on over the Ghost Whisperer. But if I had anything heavier on as a base layer, it would be really tight. Even though I am only 5 3 1/2" tall, I did order XL in both because of my big chest, yet I still experienced both of these problems. I like everything else about them, but am considering returning them for the pocket issue.
