Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ghost Whisper Jacket This jacket is great for the outdoors. I take it camping and fishing. Just be careful because it is very delicate. It gets snagged on trees and other things. Thank goodness for tenacious tape!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Jacket Wore this on a recent backpacking trip and it was perfect. Super lightweight and packs down really small. In the evenings I'd wear the hood too and I wasn't cold at all. Only problem is the shoulders are a little tight, so I had to size up which made the torso a little big. But overall an awesome jacket that will see many camping and climbing trips.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful ultralight garment, but broad-shouldered ladies beware! For reference I am 5'10", 145 lbs with a slim/ athletic build and ordered size Medium. The bad: I so desperately wanted this jacket to work as it would have rounded out my sub-10 lb base-weight so perfectly. But, alas, I also experienced that awkward tight-armpit phenomenon that others reference. I am puzzled by this fit, as the arm length was plentiful, and width (both in the arms and body) was generous- to the point of being borderline too large/boxy/busty. I understand that this width accommodates layering, but nothing accommodates layering when you're binding in the shoulders and armpits. Length in the body is just barely long enough, and I imagine that while sizing up to a large may improve the length/ armpits, it would render the jacket so loose, that it would drastically decrease the garment's thermal efficiency. The good: This jacket is light- as air and incredibly packable. The non- adjustable hood is perfectly designed to be snug and windproof, while also able to accommodate a hat or extra layer and not blind your peripheral vision. The lightweight elastic drawstring at the waist has a fantastic integrated toggle, and does exactly what it needs to do- simply and efficiently. If your build is slightly shorter with more narrow/average shoulders, look no further than this jacket! Finally, this is an ULTRALIGHT jacket! Some reviewers have complained about the crinkle and shine of the fabric. If you want ultralight performance, you're going to have a crinkly, shiny jacket. It's just the nature of the technology at this point. I would advise you to not worry too much about style in the backcountry, and remind you that everyone will be crinkling away on their Neo-air sleeping pads anyway!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Favorite Piece of Clothing This is the most versatile piece of clothing I own and it goes with me everywhere. It keeps me warm in winters, even though it is so lightweight! I even use it in the summer months for the cooler nights or freezing cold offices since it's easy to stow in my tote bag. It weighs almost nothing and is PERFECT for traveling overseas (especially backpacking when weight means everything.) The hood is an added bonus and I've often been caught sleeping in the jacket or using it as a pillow when camping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SWEEEEET Fits like it was made for me! Have taken it to high elevations, rain, snow and it has held up like a champ! *side note, this was a replacement GW jacket my last the zipper blew out after a year. Mountain Hardwear backed their product and took excellent care of me!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sound like a crunchy plastic bag, but warm! I wanted to be psyched on this jacket. I will get right to it- You will sound like a crunchy plastic bag, the seams on the arms will get caught on the pocket zippers and tear, the elastic on the hood will fit oddly tight to your face, no interior pockets or pit vents. It is quite warm for its thickness. Transitions well from mild temps to colder temps. Glad to have the color as an option, rather than neon or black.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm Light Jacket I like how light this jacket is. It's warm and packs down well. I will be using this for walking around town and also backpacking trips. It fits well with thin long sleeve underneath. I haven't had any problems with the arm hole positioning. The zippers do seem to catch a little bit more than other jackets, not a deal breaker though.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very short I am 5'8 1/2" and 145lbs so I usually wear somewhere between a small and a medium. I ordered both sizes in this jacket and while either one fit around, they were both so short that it barely covered my waistline. That combined with ordering it in black made it look like I was wearing a trash bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cult classic for a reason This jacket, man. If it being one of the lightest insulating jackets on the market doesn't sway you, the multi-functionality should. Use this as your mid-layer backpacking, as your belay jacket climbing, as a light jacket in the fringe seasons. The raglan sleeve keeps the arms and body of the jacket moving freely - your tummy won't hang out when you reach for that jug. The ghost material is impossibly light and durable. And bonus points - if you buy the hooded version, which I recommend, you can roll the body of the jacket into the hood for the perfect back-country pillow. I've seen 5 year old well-loved versions that look like new. Stop thinking about it, buy one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked in Iceland! I spent a week in Iceland in October (40-50 degrees F, rainy, winds you wouldn't believe) and the jacket kept me warm and dry the entire week. I wore a long sleeve top under my jacket per personal preference. The wind tried to cut through and I think the jacket did as good of a job as any jacket could in those conditions. I was very happy it kept me dry and I was much better off than my husband who was wearing an alternative brand. I ordered a medium and I'm 6 feet tall and 140lbs. I didn't have any issues with the sizing at all and the sleeves and body of the jacket were the perfect length. Per my husband, the jacket could have been more slimming and was "kind of boxy". Great jacket overall!
