Tight fit These are beautifully constructed gloves. Seem very warm but the main issue is that they are very tight around your wrist. I understand that they are designed to be worn under your cuff but I wasnt able to pull them up while wearing a watch. I tried them on with my suunto vector and there is no way that they would fit. I bought my wife the woman's version and she complained about this from day one. January 28, 2013
Slim but warm design This glove is surprisingly warm for the amount of insulation it has, and the fit is spot on. While I haven't used the glove in the most frigid weather yet, I can say that while I'm sometimes a "mitt" person due to my fingers getting too cold in gloves, these have been satisfactory so far. I wonder if I'm getting the additional warmth from the layer of OutDry within the glove. I like that the gloves don't have a bulky look to them, and they taper enough to a point at the fingers that if I was a regular hunter, I'd be shooting down all sorts of game with these on. But I'm not, so I won't be doing that. But seriously, I was drawn to the generally slim design, and like that the glove is lacking a velcro cuff to maintain a clean look. I like the wool-looking terry weave on the back of the hand (internal) and would like to see that used for the palm as well. It's a little weird to me that the gridded micro-fleece on the palm side (again internal) is floating within the glove, so never really truly forms to the shape of your hand. The leather is VERY soft and supple, and a little thin, so I will need to care for it so the fingertips last as long as I'm hoping. Finally, I don't like the sections of nylon(?) fabric between the leather fingertips and the leather palm, nor the material splitting the leather palm in two. It seems the thought was that those fabric sections would buckle where the hand naturally flexes (good idea in theory), but the leather is so flexible and the nylon so stiff, that it actually does the opposite. It doesn't bother me, but I do notice it. Instead, I'd like to just have an all leather palm side, and to cut cost, MHW, use as many pattern pieces as you want to. November 16, 2012
