Rated 5 out of 5 by The best winter pants. The Yumalino are now my absolute go-to winter adventure pants. The fit is great. The insulation is great. They have kept me perfectly warm and dry while active in temps down to 5ºF, but were not too warm when it has been above 40º. They are roomy enough that if I venture out in temps below zero, I can wear a warm base layer under them and stay toasty. I'll never snowshoe in any other pants again. My wife had other, more expensive winter pants but liked my Yumalino pants so much that she bought her own pair. January 25, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Super Warm! My wife bought me the Yumalino pant for my birthday after purchasing the "Yumalina" gal pant last year. She kept raving about it! The Yumalino pant is unbelievably warm. The inner chamois lining is very soft and the thin outer shell really blocks out the wind. The weave is very tight & the fibers pull-resistant. I am amazed at how well it performed when I was snowshoeing last weekend. Despite me tumbling a few times in the snow, the fibers repelled the snow and kept me dry the whole time. The legs have a relaxed fit for ease of movement, and they articulate well when climbing. It would have been nice if the 2 pockets on the back were zippered. However, there is a secured zippered pocket on the right pant leg, with even a key chain clip inside. I live in Northern Ontario where the winters are harsh, and I can honestly say that the winter is looking a whole lot warmer with the Yumalino pant! January 15, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Warm, comfy pants Warm, comfy and stretchy. They do run a tiny bit large and they're really stretchy, which makes them seem bigger. They're probably sized to tuck a thin fleece underplayed into, in which case they're perfect. I'm normally a 31 or 32 waist and these are a 32 and run closer to a 33. Leg openings fit like a straight leg Jean, so they fit snug over Sorels, which is nice. January 4, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Outdoor Pants Ever!! These pants rock, and are now my favorite pants of all time! I used these pants in the Swiss Alps and the fjords in Norway in December and they kept me extremely warm. The only issue is that these pants run a size or two big. I usually wear a 34x34 and need a 32x34. Aside from the sizing issue, these pants have exceeded my expectations and I will continue to buy more! December 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Light, warm, extremely comfortable. Bought a pair, wore them for 3 or 4 days, then bought 2 more pair. Love these pants! December 19, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Sized WAY too big but great pants when they fit I read the reviews here and saw that they run big, so I ordered a size smaller than what I normally wear. When they arrived, they were still too big! I had to exchange them for an even smaller size (two sizes smaller than my waist, the length was fine). But now that I have a pair that fits, they are great. Very water resistant and warm, plus they are comfortable and look nice enough for work when I have to go outside. I have only used them 3 times, so I can't comment on durability but so far they are great. December 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Pants but very large I love these pants, but after buying 36" my normal size, I finally ended with size 32" being the best fit. They do stretch with the body, repel mist, warm/just right on a 30 degree day, lots of pockets and seem to be made well. You will need to order a size or two smaller for a normal fit. Otherwise these are my new go to pants for the outdoors in Michigan December 10, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great pants but quality issues I had been looking for warm and water resistant pants for some time and finally stumbled upon Yumalinos on a forum or some such; other reviews are spot on, these are comfortable, warm, very soft on the inside, look fine and are true to size. The first advantage is they stop cold wind, I also got fleece lined jeans from another brand but the wind cuts right through them. For cold rainy places these are a must. I can use them by themselves at up to 6c, people used to cold weather will get away with lower temperatures, the rest of us will have to complement them with longjohns. I would give them 5 stars except that after three weeks of light use they look very worn on a couple of places (see pics); I checked to see if any of my jackets could be rubbing against them but that isn't the case. It's a pity as this makes me unsure about their durability, something you just cannot take a chance with at the temperatures they are designed for; plus these aren't cheap. Mountain Hardwear told me I could send them in for a warranty appraisal but unfortunately I'm leaving Canada so I can't wait. December 4, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Men's Yumalino™ Pant - This pant defines excellence. It has a full range of motion with an insulated fleece liner. The Yumalino pant keeps me warm and dry working outside all day in the rain and snow where temperatures are below 30 degrees Fahrenheit. It can be a cold and wet environment and the Yumalino's moisture wicking properties are keeping me warm and dry. November 4, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Cold weather Pants I work outside most of the time, and these pants are my go to pants when I know is going to be below 30. I have spent up to 10 hours outside in the snow and freezing temperature and they have allowed me to move quickly and freely, the fleece liner inside keeps you warm down to 20 degrees if you are staying active. Overall I love these pants!!!!! March 25, 2015
