Rated 5 out of 5 by from Killer Best rain paints I've ever owned. Super light and packs down to nothing. Stretch material makes them super comfy. 32-34. Med- L fits me like a glove.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost great First, the great - the fabric is awesome. The stretch is fantastic, and the breathability is absolutely amazing. Unlike some reviewers above, I prefer a more breathable rain pant and I don't need or want it to be windproof... I would prefer the breathability. That part of the pants is excellent. The fit/cut of the waist and upper legs/seat area is great. not too loose, not too tight. excellent. Also. KUDOS for offering short inseam lengths. Another reason I wanted to love these pants. Please keep doing this. Additionally, the two way zipper is epically useful, and the full zip option is an excellent feature. Please keep that. It is great. For these reasons, I figured I'd LOVE these pants. And I almost do... save for a couple of serious design flaws that ruin the experience. One is the snap, the other is the leg cuffs. First off, the snaps - they are a disaster. They are way too tight and hard to open, which endangers the fabric. The fabric, being so thin and stretchy, is at risk for ripping. I am sure that if I were not careful and just tried to open the snap fast like any normal pant, it would tear right through the fabric. It felt as though it might rip even when I was being careful. There just isn't a good way to undo the snap. Major fail. While writing this, I see this exact snap-related tear happened to someone else already, and they mentioned it in their review. I have to agree - please fix this. Finally, the most epic design fail of the pants is in the cuff at the bottom of each leg. WHY IS THERE NO ADJUSTMENT!? This is insane. It ruins the whole pant. Because the opening on the bottom is wide, which is pretty necessary for wide boots and an understandable design element, but because there is also NO ADJUSTMENT in the form of additional snaps, velcro tabs, or drawstring, one cannot close the bottom of the pant. This has a few negative effects - first, it allows the edge of the pants to drag on the ground like an oversized pair of jeans! This undoes the entire purpose of having a short inseam.... some of us are in the 28-29 inseam area, or even shorter. That means that a 30 inseam will drag on the ground. Most rain pants have some sort of way to reduce the lower leg volume, cinch the bottom up, and make it impossible for the pants to drag. As they are now, one would have to use a gaiter, or simply be taller for them to work right. Overall, you guys have the right cut, the right fabric, and an amazing pant here... all you need to do is fix the snaps and the cuff adjustment and you'll have a 5 star product on your hands, instead of something unwearable. I hope you guys are reading these, I'm sure other people have the same issues... keep trying, almost there :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doesn't fit right Amazing material, very smooth, lightweight and breathable. The pants however, have a bizarre silhouette. They have full length zips on both sides which bulge out in a sine curve and I found no way to prevent that from happening, so back they went.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bought for Commuting used for Backpacking These pants caught my eye because they are fairly light weight, stretchy and have a high level of water resistance. I knew that as a soft shell they were not going to be 100% waterproof but figured the other features of the pants (breathability and stretch) would outweigh this downside. While I do like them and am happy with their performance as commuter pants I do have some suggestions for improvements to their design: - Having a synching option on the bottom cuff - possibly a second clasp point for buckle. - Using a buckle on the top. Alternatively use stronger Velcro or have a forward facing tab the current design is easily opened up by backpack hip belts. - Improving the zipper interface for full zip feature- they zip both ways easily but do not fully open up easily. I took them with me on a recent backpacking trip as a pair of rain pants. After a torrential rainstorm and an incident with a log over a bog, the Stretch Ozonics became my primary pant. They were great but my hip belt tended to open the top of the pants leading to the zipper sliding down. Over all they are a good piece of kit and with a few tweaks they could be excellent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Men's Ozonic Pants These are awesome pants. I use them for bicycle touring and hiking. They are very light weight and pack very small. Waterproofing is very good. They are breathable but as for all rain gear, exertion leads to moisture (sweat) inside the pants. Full length zips on the legs can be opened from the top and allow quite good venting. The long zips are also perfect for getting the pants on and off over bulky shoes. Pants do have one design flaw. The waist fastens with a single tight snap which is anchored in very soft fabric. The snap pulled out of my first pair. The ankle cuffs also have tight snaps and the fabric is quite delicate feeling. Customer service was great and replaced the pants under warranty. However, design in the snap areas needs a little reinforcement. I highly recommend these pants but be gentle with the snaps. The large-long fit me perfectly (6'3", 180lbs with 34" waist and 34" inseam").

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for use in the rain. Bought these to use for a 5 week hike across northern Spain. First time wearing them, they leaked after 20 minutes of raining. Waste of money!! Nothing like what I expected from the normal quality of other Mountain Hardwear products. My other rain pants from another company worked as advertised for half the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Rain Pants These pants are great for throwing on when it's raining out. They have performed excellent and have felt great. I've been out in rain for 10+ hours on multiple occasions and have not felt wet once. My only, very small, tid bit, is that I wish the pocket was higher or offset to one side. I put my phone in it and it kinda rests right over my knee.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rain yes, wind no Good pants, fit right and perform well, but the lack of wind protection, which I thought would not matter, makes a big difference when the temps get low. For me, these pants are great for spring-fall. Cold temps, steady wind, or heavy precip are situations that would be more comfortable in more of a traditional shell pant. That said, they still fit great and are excellent for a range of activities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5 Star Rad The fit is true to size. Quality is high like we all come to expect from MH product & gear. Soft shell feel with hard shell protection. These pants are a must to keep you dry and protected from the elements.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ozonic The fit was perfect and the pants works well keeping my legs warm on my early morning golf rounds. Easy to remove when the temperature warms up. The only thing I noticed negative is that the Velcro on the top of both side zippers seems to snap out every so often on my golf swing or when I'm bending over. Maybe a metal snap like the one in the front will be better.
