Men's Snowtastic™ Glove

Details

OM5588

Summary

Most so-called “waterproof” gloves soak through, trapping water between the shell and the insulation, leaving your hands cold and clammy—and rendering the gloves useless. The Snowtastic Glove utilizes our exclusive Q.Shield™ technology to repel water and a waterproof OutDry® membrane bonded to the shell to prevent water from penetrating further. That means your hands stay warm and dry inside the thick fleece liner and the Thermal.Q™ Elite insulation that emulates the natural warmth of goose down. All-leather palm for durability and leather padding on back for protection against falls. Adjustable neoprene cuff keeps out snow and cold.

excellent glove that can take a beating I recently used this glove ice climbing in Ouray. It stayed warm and dry for about as long as I could reasonably hope for given the fact that I was surrounded by ice and getting rained and snowed on. They were easy to get off and pretty easy to get back on, even with moist hands, due to the loops on each. The under-the-cuff design let me easily slip my softshell or hardshell sleeves over them to have an unbroken barrier against the elements. They also allowed for enough movement for me to easily grip my ice tools comfortably but confidently. Overall, I'm very satisfied with these gloves. March 9, 2014
Brrr. These gloves are a huge disappointment. I have an slightly older pair of OR gloves with liners that have the magical property of being almost colder than no gloves at all, so I decided I would retire them and get a better pair. I ordered the MH gloves and when they arrived gave them a couple short test runs. They seemed a bit cold but I gave them a longer try last weekend on some BC skiing above Butte, MT. After going uphill for 3 k in 15 degree weather I finally gave up and switched to an older pair of Manzella softshell gloves....by which time even those couldn't warm my hands up and I had to switch to mittens for a while. I don't need a pair of gloves to keep my hands warm at 35 degrees....I've got several that will do that. March 1, 2014
Snowtastic Glove I wear these gloves on morning walks at temps around freezing. I like the fit and the feel of the gloves. They are warm and easy to slip on with the convenient pull loops on the cuffs of the gloves. They look nice too. I can handle and manipulate smaller objects with the glove on and the leather on the palms assures a good non slip grip. These are quality gloves for serious hand protection. December 24, 2013
