Men's Seraction™ Pant 4.5 5 6 6
Great shell pant I wear a 36 inch waist. I picked these up in size Large and they fit perfectly. They are slightly tapered from the thigh down, which makes sense for a climbing pant. My intended use for these will be winter hiking/backpacking and these will exceed with a baselayer underneath them. I like the Velcro adjustment at the waist and the full length zipper on the sides for easy on/off. No pockets. Unfortunate but not a dealbreaker. My Quasar pants don't have pockets either. Just don't understand the need for the right leg thigh pocket as another person mentioned. You can't put your PLB or phone there but just enough space for a thin wallet or ID card at the most. Barely even for keys. I got them at a crazy good price and picked up three pair and expect them to hold up very well and to work for my intended purpose. Ample space in the thigh and good movement for my legs. August 5, 2015
A beast for alpine pursuits I really enjoy these pants. The legs are a little small. The waist is also a little small. I would actually recommend thinking in terms of "What size would my waist be after layering up on the mountain?" in order to get the size right on these. I have slid down glaciers, and they have held up. I do have several crampon holes, but I think every pant would succumb to that abuse. Overall, I am happy. July 25, 2015
Light, breathable but warm (when needed) The pants fit tight on the boots even when the legs are completely stretched in a paragliding harness (I bought the long inseam for that purpose) and keep you dry while hicking with a light base layer but comfortably warm during a close to zero Celsius flight. Impressive. March 29, 2015
Good pants, just not for me Got a really good deal through another site that I couldn't pass up (for the solar yellow). Took them out once and they ripped lowering off of a ledge. They were kind enough to replace them (with the shark gray). I have used them twice since but now I have a hole wearing into the seat again. Seems they weren't meant to brush against Adirondack rock. They are light, thin, packable and breathable. They are really good to have when the temps are too high for the 3 layer bibs but I just don't trust them to hold up. I have a five day trip coming up and will be surprised if they survive. I have had great luck with other Dry Q products. Kepler Jacket and Heista Bibs have done me well, just can't see how these pants are suited to any kind climbing without being able to hold up to abrasions. March 22, 2015
Won't work Like the product but won't work for my intended use. Wanted to use as ski pants but they won't fit over my boots. I was told I have 30 days to return. Could you email the info I will need to return these or can I go to the employee store in Richmond and just return them there? February 23, 2015
Awesome Shells I bought these pants because I have expanded my outdoor activities into the alpine world. I wore these when I went and did Mt. Langley in Dec and I'll wear them for any other 14er I attempt this season and the next.. They worked like a charm, completely water proof, breathed well and were completely wind proof. I thought I was going to need to wear some sort of base layer pants during the day since the temps were below freezing but I didn't. The pants worked great to keep in the heat and the zippers were awesome when you wanted to let air flow through. Only thing I wish they had were pockets. But I like to put my hands in my pockets alot when I'm not actually hiking or climbing. For some people this wont be an issue. I'm 6'0 180 pounds and the mediums fit fine. January 11, 2015
