Reviews

Men's Returnia™ Cargo Pant is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid layer with a dash of toastiness Fits true to size, I'm a small with a 32 in waist which fits great. There's a little bit of insulation from the fleece and the length is just right for covering the ski and snowboard boots. Pretty sturdy construction. Overall great value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waist is a little small I usually have some issues with pants being a little tight in the thighs. If you run into the same problem, these will most likely be a little snug. Otherwise, great pants. Still functional even when they're snug.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Shorts Shorter, stouter in stature. These were a great fit -- no longer am dragging the hem of my ski pants all over the lodge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great spring skiing pants 5'11" 225# and the XL fits slightly large at the waist, but for ski pants, I don't mind. A belt holds everything in place well. I *love* the cargo pockets. They are large enough to hold a beer or water bottle or a few cans in each pocket. Leg vents work great on the super warm days. I'd buy these again in a second.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good resort ski pant First off, I'm a Tahoe skier and split my time about 60:40 between resort and backcountry skiing. The Returnia ski pant works best for resort skiing. I bought the non-insulated shell as I prefer to choose my own layers, and it seems to be a quality shell. I like the Cargo styles abundance of pockets, though I would like at least one pocket on the back. I am not thrilled about the venting system which is in the crotch/inner thigh. This seems to be the new norm on many ski pants and bibs, but I prefer a full or even partial zip on the outside of the leg. The inner thigh vent does not really let much heat out when you are really working, like backcountry touring, and really how often are you in such deep powder that an outer zip would let snow in? The inner thigh zip does nothing to help get the pants on an off over a ski boot and for those of us that wear a knee brace it's a bit tricky to slide the pant on over the brace. The material is a bit noisy (crunchy?), but the pants are still pretty new so this may subside a bit with age. The brushed fleece liner does feel comfortable next to skin and the cut of the legs is roomy without being too baggy, so leg movement is not restricted. I'm 5'10" and 175lbs, with a 33" waist and at first I thought the men's medium might be a tad tight in the waist, but I have found I actually have to cinch down the velcro waist adjustment a bit when skiing and will probably add a belt in the future. The length is perfect for me and I do like the cuff patch and inner boot gator. Zipper quality is good and either protected by flaps or the new waterproof style depending on where on the pant it's located. Overall a good product but without external leg zips I would recommend this pant more for resort than backcountry skiing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Snow Pant Great snow pant with well placed and useful pockets. The usual high quality from Mountain Hardware. The size was excellent because MH offers S-M-L lengths which makes a big difference. The one complaint I have is that the vent zippers on the inseam do not have a mesh backing, so if they are open, you will definitely get sone snow in there. Overall, great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pant I love these! They do run a bit long, feels like I'm stepping on the back cuffs. The pockets are great. Enough room for a small camera and a trail map. Could use a mesh backer for the thigh vents. Would love to see better color selection as well. My original pain got a bit shredded possibly from the walk/ski flip on my boots. Not sure if they are repairable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cargo pockets are handy I have these pants in Medium/Regular and they are ever-so-slightly large on my 32/30 frame. I just wear a belt and they are fine at the waist. They do run a tiny bit long, but that's OK when you have the gaiter up over your boots. The cargo pocket on the left is handy. The one on the right is a water-resistant zipper design, so that's good for items you don't want to get wet. As noted in other reviews, the thigh vents are not backed with any mesh screen, so snow will be scooped right up if you take a spill into the snow with them open. The only feature that would have been nice to have is ankle zips/snaps for both the gaiter and the pant leg, but that's something for higher-end pants, I suppose. For those who care, the waist closure is two buttons, as opposed to snaps/hooks. A couple visits to the Sierras with these pants snowboarding and snowshoeing so far and they are warm and waterproof. The thigh vents came in handy for the latter on a warm bluebird day while hoofing it in the wilderness.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fit is small I returned these as they don't fit. I'm a size 36 waist, Xl was too baggy and L too snug.
