Men's Ratio™ Down Jacket 4 5 6 6
Highly recommended Just returned from mount Shuksan in the cascades. Caught in 50 Mph winds and slight moisture on sulphide glacier. this baby held up like expected the entire 3 day trip. Stayed warm and dry. August 4, 2015
Sheds down, doesn't retain loft I purchased the Ratio down jacket about 2 months ago size large in "utility green". Fit is good overall, even though I would prefer it a bit shorter. I used this jacket on a wilderness canoe trip of about 8 days, wearing it on 3 occasions for a total of about 9 hours while at rest - never while canoeing or carrying gear. The first time I put it on, the jacket immediately began shedding down from every seam - almost impossible to "pull" it back in. It sheds worse than any other down jacket I've owned, including one that is about 1/3 the price. Further, after storing in a stuff sack one time, the jacket would not loft up to even close to original. I'm disappointed in this jacket as well as a recent Microchill Zip fleece shirt which has changed in design from the original. The quality is not the same. I'm going to give customer service a call and see what they say. Depending upon response I will not be purchasing any more Mountain Hardwear products June 25, 2015
MH Ratio Jacket The Ratio fit is perfect, ordered a green medium and was a perfect fit covering my bottom. The color green is a little light for me, but is very stylish and closely matches the color of my other gear. I wore it on a chilly 32 degrees Mardi Gras day and was warm all day with a lot of compliments on the stylish layout of Ratio. It is very packable and fits into its own pocket. Thumbs up Mountain Hardware! February 25, 2015
Super light and warm! I was very skeptical buying this coat before I could see it. I was worried this coat would be too puffy but it isn't. It is extremely light and warm. I walked into work today and it was -2 and my face and legs were cold but not arms and core. Love this coat and so glad I bought it. February 20, 2015
Great product This is the first MH product I have used, and I am very impressed with the quality. Just to test out the performance, I wore just a t-shirt under it in ~15 degree weather and stayed plenty warm. It weighs very little, so it would be great to bring backpacking as extra warm clothing. Wearing a thick fleece under it will keep you very warm in sub-zero temperatures. January 8, 2015
Not what I expected, but not disappointed Fits a little big in my opinion. Not quite as warm as I thought it would be either. Quality seems good and it is light. Will work for a everyday winter coat but won't fit the bill for superb warmth in winter backpacking conditions. I think I'll need higher power down and a higher fill weight. November 10, 2014
