Men's Nitrous™ Hybrid Jacket 2.7 5 6 6
Are men getting smaller? I really wanted to like this jacket.........until I tried to put it on. The length is good on the jacket but its a bit tight in the chest if you are bulkier. All the other reviewers are right about the sleeves of this jacket; unless you have toothpicks for arms you won't like the fit of the Nitrous Hybrid. I would think that I could equate putting your arms in the sleeves of this jacket to what a woman goes through putting their legs in skinny jeans. I debated buying this jacket simply because the price is far too expense for what you get.......I'm tired of companies over-charging just because their name is on it........I want quality at that price. Small and Tight in the Arms/Chest I'm 6 foot 180 and ordered a medium. It fit good in the body but the arm holes were very tight - almost like it was cutting off circulation to my arms. I almost ordered a large, then figured it would likely have similar arm-hole issues so ordered a jacket from another company.... The cut/fit of this product is not great. Should have read all the other reviews before buying it - oh well, just lost the shipping/return shipping. January 22, 2014
Too cold and too tight It's a fine looking jacket, and its packability is a real plus, but the junction of sleeve and body is too small and tight. I am definitely a 'Medium', and the whole jacket was snug. The stretchable arm and body panels make for comfort, but when I tested it outside on a cold Syracuse day, my stretchy areas were immediately cold, while the rest of me was comfy. January 14, 2014
Exactly want I wanted I wanted a down jacket that didn't have a super high volume so I could wear it in temps slightly above and/around freezing and its perfect. The fleece parts aren't as warm as the down but that was expected. January 11, 2014
Decent but not what I wanted First, I should clarify that I bought this (a bit hastily) not realizing what the differences were between this hybrid and M/H's standard nitrous jacket. The fit seems fine to me - I am 5'11" and it fit me perfectly. The quality is great too - as you'd expect with M/H. The only thing I didn't like was the fleece panels on the side of my abdomen and along the underside of my arms. It seems a bit counter intuitive to me, to have a down jacket with two areas around your body and parts of your arms, not covered with the down material. Even in the 40's *F, I noticed the areas of my abdomen and under my arms that weren't covered by the down, would feel a bit cold. Fleece material is breezy, so it just didn't keep me warm. I'm sure some might like this jacket, but it wasn't for me; especially since I bought it, thinking it was the nitrous jacket. This could be useful underneath a wind breaker, rain jacket, or snow jacket for layering since it is reasonably thin. December 22, 2013
Tight Sleeves I bought this product in bulk to give out company-wide and the seam under the sleeve is too tight on everyone. December 9, 2013
