Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 91 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by quality has dropped over the years I had an earlier version of the Nitrous down jacket and it was great. Great cut/fit, very warm and durable. It finally fell apart after 5-6 years of almost daily use, so I got a replacement of the same model and size right away. Unfortunately the current version seem to have dropped in quality quite a bit. It's still warm, but much larger/looser and has a big bulge around the waist which lets more cold air in, and the seams are already coming off after 2 weeks of use. Really quite disappointing :( January 2, 2017
Rated 3 out of 5 by Sizing This product is boxy and oversized January 1, 2017
Rated 5 out of 5 by Solid product I've worn this jacket from the Alps to the Cascades and it's great for keeping warm, layering, and packs down to nothing. December 31, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Another excuse to go outside Where to begin. I'm in Idaho, the backyard of the Northwest. It's been cold and dry. I spent so much time looking for a coat and I made the right choice. I needed something that was warm and could handle the cold yet could also handle wide temperature ranges from below freezing to it's kinda cool outside. This coat does all that and more. It's light and comfortable and not too bulky. This is now my 90% coat. Additional bonuses that I didn't expect were the fleece guard by the mouth when fully zipped, incredibly comfortable. Love this coat. December 22, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great fit This one delivers. I was worried about the sizing but it turned out to be perfect. 6 feet 185 lbs and M is perfect. works well as a base layer or as a daily jacket to the office. December 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very warm and comfortable jacket Very happy with the jacket, its comfort and warmth. Used both as a jacket and under a shell. January 22, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Keeps you warm doesn't last long I have had this jacket for 70 days now and it has began to tear around the metal ring where the waist draw string is. Do to it being 70 days and not 60 days i have to send it in and wait 8-10 weeks to have it repaired. (Longer than i have owned the jacket). Its winter and I need a jacket. For sizing I am 6'5 230lbs and XL fits decent. January 20, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by warm used in subzero conditions with shell over, and was perfectly warm all day January 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by As reviewed Excellent medium temp jacket. Worn in CO at single digits with tee and light fleece under and MH rain shell over and was just right in moderate walking conditions (not strenuous). The weight and down fill is at first misleading on how warm the jacket is. I am 6'-0" and 160 lbs and the medium was perfect for light layer under and shell over. Worn in evening 20's with active wear turtleneck under and no shell over and it was also just right (neither too warm or cold). Seems like solid quality for a hard month of wear; a few feathers out but good details and seam joints. December 28, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very warm for it's weight The reason I gave four out of five is I only had this Jacket for two weeks before it got ruined on deployment. I loved how lightweight the jacket is but still incredibly warm. Afghani nights get into the low twenties - high teens this time of year and this jacket helped keep me warm but still able to move effectively. Only down side (no pun intended) is its not very durable. The right sleeve ripped while on an operation and the majority of the down came out by the time we left the area. Like i mentioned before I only had it for two weeks but they were a very warm two weeks. i think the Nitrous does run a little large if using as your main insulator but as part of a layering system it was perfect. For the time I had it I loved it! And wish I got more use out of it. December 23, 2015
