Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight, comfortable and warm This jacket is very comfortable and moderately warm by itself, it feels like Harambe himself is swaddling me in his arms as if I were his own. When layered under a shell jacket, it allows your body to breathe and retain body heat. Very comfortable, sometimes I fall asleep while wearing it, often dreaming I am part monkey and part man in a land where primates rule the world. This is a great jacket with both form and function that won't let you down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It has THUMB-HOLES! This is my 4th Mountain Hardwear jacket and 9th piece of their gear overall. I didn't really need another midlayer/jacket fleece, but it had THUMBHOLES! Heheh. It's quickly found a place in my heart, and I presently favor it over my other Mountain Hardwear fleece jackets. It's quite comfortable from the 60s all the way down to mid 20 degrees. I'm 6"1, 193 lbs and the large fits great, though the collar is snugger than my other Mountain Hardwear Fleece. It has a trim athletic fit, so laying over it is quite easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft, warm, comfortable, great fit I bought this jacket because it was highly rated on multiple websites for alpine climbing. The product is versatile as the pocket vents assist in cooling someone down if needed. I am a muscular built man and the medium fits snugly but allows for a range of motion. The jacket is very warm, breathable (if you choose), and mobile. Mountain Hardware continues to produce exceptional products and this is one of them!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks great, must wear in in conjunction with a windbreaker Fits well, a bit loose in the waist but I like the high armpit and slightly tight back. Fits pretty well for a thin, athletic body type with extra room for a solid thermal underneath. However, if this is being worn with a thin shirt, the wind cuts RIGHT through it like it's not there at all. This must be worn with a windbreaker if you're going outside with it, although it's great for the role of a midlayer. Points for a unique product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! I love Mnt Hardware and have been wanting a grid jacket for a couple of years now since my wife has one. I tried on a regular monkey man but the sleeves were way too long this year, must be something wrong in production. But the Grid is perfect. Warm when inside and a great 2nd base under a down. When working hard it allows much needed fresh air to flow in where a regular fleece would be way to hot and have to be removed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great warmth, unless it's windy I bought the Mountain Hardwear Monkey Man Grid II Jacket based on a recommendation from a friend, who has the Mokey Man 200. Well, he did actually recommend the 200, but the Grid II was slightly more expensive and weighed slightly less. I figured that it would provide the same warmth as the 200 in a more compact package. I was a bit wrong. While the Grid II is pretty warm, it fails when there's any sort of wind. An extra layer is definitely mandatory if the weather is cold and windy. That said, the Grid II is very comfortable. It's a pleasure to wear outside in mild weather, as well as when it's a bit chilly indoors. I normally wear a size Small (I am 5'9", 165lb), but got this jacket in a Medium after trying it on, which fit perfectly. All-in-all, I am glad to have the Grid II as part of my wardrobe.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not what I hoped... So I have a theory. Whoever named the color of this jacket "Thunderhead Grey" has never actually seen it. They saw a picture of it, sure, but never the real thing. Because you would never name that color "Thunderhead Grey". More accurately, it should be called "Right Before the Tornado Green". It's green, folks. Not bad, but in no way could you call it grey. Also, I am a very consistent size medium. All my fleeces, shirts, sweatpants, etc... medium. And this medium fits pretty well except the crazy sleeves! They're about 4-6 inches too long. I'm 6'0" tall too... so I'm not sure what's going on there. I just received the jacket today, but I'm probably going to return it. Thought you all would want to know this info, though. Hope it's helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fleece layer Really great lightweight layer for cool days or underneath a shell. Lets a little bit of air flow through it so it doesn't get stuffy at all.
