Men's Microchill™ Zip T 4.8 5 23 23
warm, breathable, soft Really pleased with this product. Lightweight, warm even if wet, and when zipped up all the way it feels like I'm wearing a buff. One complaint with this product and the other products from MH; both the sleeves and waist seem to be designed for very large fellows. I got the large, but I'm 6'1 195lbs. The bottom of the torso and the end of sleeves do not fit snugly to my body at all. Not sure who they are designing products for, but for it to fit snugly, it would have to be a very large man. Maybe I should have gone with the medium, but would it have been long enough in sleeves and torso? April 23, 2014
Nice! When I got this shirt, the first thing I noticed was that it was quite a bit lighter than the fleece I have purchased from mountain hardware in the past. I use them as a third layer when I am out plowing and working in cold weather. I was skeptical thinking that it would not be as warm as the past shirts. Not any more. This shirt is as soft as a baby lambs wool, and incredibly warm. For the price, mountain hardware is the best I have used. The only reason I didn't give and 'excellent rate for quality is for the zipper. It works fine now, but feels like it is a bit lower in quality than past shirts. It doesn't have that smooth action the old zipper had. If the new shirt lasts as long as the old one, I will get many years of tough use out of it. Thanks Mountain hardware. Keep up the good work. Great Baselayer This is an awesome & comfortable garment for a slightly chilly day by itself or as a base layer under heavier jackets. It is super cozy and looks great too. Be careful with washing & drying though, as it can and will shrink if done incorrectly. Wash on cold and dry on low/no heat. Great item MH! February 12, 2014
Just one small wish A small pocket in the breast area would make this perfect February 9, 2014
Mid Layer This is an excellent functional and comfortable mid layer. I am an avid alpine climber and have worn this layer on both Denali and Aconcagua. It is an excellent means of staying warm. January 27, 2014
My go to fleece What can be said that hasn't already been said, if your on the fence about buying this item do it. Its warm soft light weight it will quickly become, your go to fleece. Thank you MHW January 23, 2014
runs small... ... very small - I am 150lb., longish torso, broadish shoulders and I could not get this shirt on, sized small. I also ordered a pullover hoodie, and the shacket in small and they both fit quite well. The material is amazingly soft, seams are nice and tight, and overall construction seems good quality. Wearing it right now I'm 5'9, 160 lbs, and the medium is the right fit exactly. I'm debating buying a few more. Might be thinner than you're imagining, but it's ridiculously warm and a great layer. January 16, 2014
perfect weight My husband loves these tops. He feels they are the perfect weight. January 14, 2014
Casual comfort. This fleece top looks great and is light enough to layer. Looks great by itself. Construction seems solid too. The large fits me nicely (I'm 5'10", 180 lbs). Highly recommended. January 12, 2014
Disappointed Did not meet my expectations from Mt Hardware January 8, 2014
Awesome Fleece This is the 4th one I have bought as I have worn one out every year for the last 3 years. The only complaint I have is that this years model has the black Mountain Hardware insignia verses the colored - not really that big of a deal. January 3, 2014
1/4 zip and t-shirt These were both requested presents- the receiver already owns one of each. He was delighted. He uses them for work (in the film industry) because they are light and very warm. December 30, 2013
comfy Great product -- very comfy and functional. Like the navy blue and contrasting slightly lighter blue stitching. December 28, 2013
Great gift! I bought this for a family member. He has always loved Mountain Hardwear and this was another great piece for him. As a farmer he does a lot of outside work and this is a nice layering piece for him in Fall/Winter/Spring. December 27, 2013
Great over a base layer Liking this fleece. It’s very warm for how lightweight the fleece is. Perfect as middle layer between your base and jacket. I find that it dries very quickly, very easily washed then air dried on the go or in the woods. Mostly use this between base layer and ski jacket. Fit is good. You may find this a little fitted through the midsection. May want to size up around the belly (if you have one). Another awesome product by MH, I have yet to be disappointed. December 27, 2013
Great every day pull over After the first time I wore it I ordered two more. I'm a big guy, 5'11" 240, got the XXL to wear as a middle layer and love it. Looks good, wore it to the office on jean day. It's very light and soft, so I ordered my wife one also. Started off in the lower 30's this morning, and never put my top layer on. Then it got up to 60 today, pushed the sleeves up and never got hot. December 16, 2013
Great layering or stand alone pull-over Mountain Hardwear nailed this pull-over. The size is true and the colors are spot on as represented by their website. This is the perfect layer to add on cold days or as a shirt over a tee on cool evenings. I love it. November 18, 2013
Great fit, Super basic warmth for layering. Looks good, fits perfectly (XL - 5"11, 200 Lbs). Not the most features (a zipper...end of list), but that's perfect for layering. Even works as a warm baselayer against the skin. Warm and breatheable. Some colors do not have contrast stitching as indicated, but look good without. Length is perfect. Collar is perfect. Arms are perfect. October 25, 2013
Soft and functional I love these shirts, great value for the price. Very good for layering and worn alone. October 21, 2013
Light, warm, and functional The best fleece I own - bar none. I am a US Army Infantryman with over 20 years in service, and I would choose MHW fleece over any issued gear. Light and warm, dries quickly, looks great. Fits true to size; I normally wear a L and a L in this fleece is perfect. After several washes remains true to form and function. October 12, 2013
The Best "Plain" Fleece You'll Own This is the most basic fleece I own, but the favorite. There's no getting around the fact this fleece is virtually featureless, but that's exactly what it should be. It is the perfect active mid layer for cold days on the trail, or even as a summer insulating layer as an alternative to a lightweight down piece. No hand pockets/chest pockets means it works perfectly under a shell, or just under a pack. I could not be happier with this fleece, and despite a few burn holes from errant embers, its still going strong after several seasons of hard use. October 6, 2013
Great Layer Mt Hardwear please keep making this one! My only complaint is that the sleaves on the XL are a little short. (an extra 1-2 inches would be a perfect) Other then the sleeve lenght this layer is perfect. October 3, 2013
