Meets my needs plus some Highly recommend as a base layer or by itself February 17, 2013

Effusion 1/2 Zip I have had this jacket for a little over 1 month and have spent alot of time running in the jacket in NH and MA. Similiar to the Ghost Whisperer which I did a review on this can be worn with a short sleeve Mountain Hardwear W2C below temperatures of 32 degrees. You will eventually warm up enough to have to unzip the jacket and if you maintain movement you will be fine. This jacket as well as the Effusion jacket with hood DO NOT retain heat but they allow you the jacket to release heat but you need to keep moving. The one thing about the jacket is the inside pocket over the left chest, I would suggest Mountain Hardwear position the pocket in a different location maybe more in a central location on the jacket. I also think Mountain Hardwear could decrease the weight of the jacket and breathability by adapting some of the material from the W2C shirts into the jacket under the armpits and underneath the arms of the jacket.
