Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 104 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Unnaturally large in torso, not athletic The material is great, but it's unnaturally large around the lower torso. It's not an athletic fit, and it shows. The upper torso is great, and I actually like how the arms are relatively slim and fits my wide shoulders, but why the big fat lower torso? Also, the zipper may be light, but it's fragile and prone to coming apart. I want to like it, but it doesn't fit right, and it doesn't seem like I'm alone. Who are you measuring these jackets on..? Rated 4 out of 5 by Awesome Puffy but oversized Awesome puffy and very light but the sizing is big and long in the torso. Seems like some MH jackets I'm a medium or a large depending on the model. I'm 5'10" and weigh 165 pounds. Frustrating. Had to return and pay more shipping costs. Wish I could have found in a store first to try on. January 6, 2017
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic light jacket but not an athletic fit! The only issue is that the body is not designed for an athletic fit. The shoulders and arms are sized appropriately but the body size is not constructed slimmer for the fit individual. December 28, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Runs large. This runs a size larger than stated. A large is really an XL. December 28, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Sent it back... Didn't like the lenght nor the fit altough it was a good size for me. Just didn't seem like a substantial jacket. Sent it back December 16, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Jacket I've Ever Bought Let's be honest, $320 bones for any jacket is pretty steep man. I'm just a working class dude, and couldn't really spend that kinda dough on a single jacket lol. So I bought both of my MH Ghost Whisperer jackets from Ebay. I absolutely LOVE this jacket tho. I work in a freezer where it's kept at -20 degrees 24/7/365. I use this jacket in my layering system, and it keeps me plenty warm and able to move around and be mobile. Thanks MH! December 6, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Warm to Weight Ratio Very happy with jacket overall. The Mountain Hardwear has less down filling than my Marmot, however somehow manages to feel warmer. Only complaint would be zipper could be improved as I've had to be extra cautious when starting it. New color is what I was waiting for; glad I did (Peatmoss!) November 29, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Pushing the Boundaries So many superlatives. The hype is real. It's so light, the weight is absolutely inconsequential. With that, it does an excellent job of providing an acceptable amount of worth. By that I mean that you should really look at this as your ace in your layering hole. You can take it with you anywhere. Pack it, carry it, wear it. Break it out whenever the situation calls for it. Now, is this gonna be an oven if you're sitting/standing in place, it's 23 degrees and winds are consistently upwards of 14 mph? If you're wearing just this and a t-shirt...no. Then again, if you're in that environment and wearing just this and a t-shirt.... But if you've got this in your back pocket to couple with a midweight baselayer and a capable wind resistant outer shell, you are going to be better than fine. And that's the cool thing. Layer appropriately for the conditions, have this with you, and you can combat a ton of varying conditions. It's just gonna give you a ton of versatility. Oh, plus I think it looks really cool. I have the black in a medium, and yes, it has a sheen to it. If you don't like that, then the black is not for you. To be fair, it only has that reflection when hit by artificial light. For me, I think it's just another aspect that makes it stand out from the crowd. Anyway, to change it up, I'm gonna get another in a different color b/c I'm going to wear a Ghost Whisperer every single day for four months of the year. November 22, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect Jacket I have a lot of jackets and I've the Ghost Whisperer has been my favorite by far. It's lightweight, packable and performs! I've hiked, camped and slept in it a lot and haven't noticed any wear or decrease in performance. I also wear it work on a cold day cause it fits me perferctly. I have a large and I'm 6' 1" and 190 and it fits perfect. November 16, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by OMG, yes it's light and it's nicely warm! Ok so just to start off. I never give anything 5 starts because there is always something little that never makes anything perfect. But this is as close to a 5 as I will give because it is that good. No I don't work for Columbia, or Mountain Hardware...I just love this piece of clothing. First off just like everyone else says...My god it's light! I have had about 5 people hold it in their hands and they are amazed. Is it warm?...Yes it's warm. Would I wear it as a main jacket for all situations? NO, I wouldn't. This has become my 2nd line of defense against cold underneath a waterproof shell if needed in those rain or wet snow situations. On it's own It's really a excellent option for days that are pushing between 20-40 degrees. If you are going to wear this don't be too surprised just wearing a T-shirt or long sleeve base layer if you are walking or running as it will be nice and toasty. Did I mention it's very light!!! I have also used this as a mid liner under my for warmer weather motorcycle Mesh jacket. That jacket doesn't block any wind or cold and it's not designed too. But I wanted to try this out underneath it and it worked wonderfully. So much that I am actually considering selling my other Bore-Mex (they said not to mention competitors so what rhymes with those two names you can figure it out) jacket that has everything built in because it's so much bulkier. This was a wonderful purchase. So much that I also purchased the vest version of it and I will write a review of that next. October 26, 2016
