Men's G50™ Jacket 5 5 5 5
Does the job. I was looking to replace a Mountain Tech Jacket that I've had since 2001. The styling of the G-50 caught my eye. It's a little lighter, great for cool mornings and easy to stow away once it warms up. I'm 5'10" and 175 lbs. and the large is a good fit with room for a fleece top if needed. February 19, 2014
Men's G50 Jacket I have only had the jacket for a few weeks. It was everything I was looking for in a light versatile winter/rain/wind breaker/jacket. I wanted a light jacket that would serve as a rain jacket (for spring and fall) and a winter jacket (for Louisiana). With recent below freezing weather, I was able to use a warm fleece as a layer under the G50 to allow for its comfortable use in cold weather. I can't comment about how well it will hold up long term, but to date, I am very happy with my purchase. The jacket is very comfortable, has nice pockets, that also serve as air vents, and allows one good mobility when wearing the jacket. February 10, 2014
Solid Jacket Stays dry and surprisingly warm but with excellent breathability. So far used for backcountry skiing and wearing around town. Well-sized. January 21, 2013
Nice Jacket... I was looking for a warm soft shell for daily winter wear. Unfortunately, this is not the jacket for that. It is very thin. It is a great windbreaker though! I decided to double up this jacket with my MH Bedlam fleece. Together they keep me toasty and allow me to move. The XL I got was a little bit big in the arm length. But that was OK... as I can wear a fleece under it. Once it warms up I can loose the fleece and the G50 will be perfect. January 15, 2013
Yes, size matters. As a man of large stature, sometimes it is difficult to find clothes that fit perfectly. I'm 6' 2", 240lbs, with a 52" chest, so I decided to go with the XXL. As far as fit goes, it is perfect in the chest and arm length, but feels a bit big around the mid-section... like it was designed for a beer belly. I'm not sure how many beer guts are really needing top of the line outdoor apparell, but if i ever decide to have one, I won't have to get a new jacket. As far as performance, this thing is bone dry. Haven't seen any wind or actual cold with it, but so far, so good. August 22, 2012
