Men's Elkommando™ Kilt is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 80.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, But Could Be Greater My comments are similar to others. Great, fun, functional product, but one that could be made better: 1. Offer more color options; in particular, I would buy an olive green. 2. It would be better with belt loops. 3. The back side of the top snaps are not covered; because of that, when I go on long hikes, those snaps rub my skin, so I have to cover the back side of the snaps with tape to prevent that. The design would be better if the back side of the snaps were covered. 4. I agree with the guys who mention there should be a tall size in the medium and large size kilts. I'm 6'2 and 170 lbs., and the large size is slightly too large in the waist, and the medium is OK in the waist, but doesn't hang low enough (that or as other mentioned, some better way of allowing small adjustments in the waist size -- velcro or elastic, or options as to where you snap it -- would be helpful).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from sophisticated I like this kilt for its sophisticated lines, light weight and its unisexed fit. I am a w with curves - my m got one too and his fits him well. We get lots of complements and both enjoy the comfort. The soft lining around the waist is nice on bare skin but also helps keep shirts tucked in. Would like one in a lighter color. Snap on hem is clever, good in a breeze.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for hiking Have used a Sport Kilt for hiking in the past but it didn't have any pockets. I purchased a Elkommando Kilt for the side pockets. It worked great but here are some improvements I'd like on future kilts: more colors. ditch the belt and add belt loops. Add a velcro closure to provide more adjustments. Add some "slash pockets" in the front (this would be very easy to do on the right hand side). In my kilt, I wish the side pockets were located about 1" more towards the front. I had to reach behind me to get into them. Overall a very good product and I highly recommend for outdoor activities in warmer weather or even cooler if worn with tights.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The details of this item are very well done. Great pockets, fasteners - all very well thought out and useful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and cool Great kilt, I can't afford some of the higher end stuff so I got this and was not disappointed. I get compliments in Portland all the time while wearing it, and the pockets DO NOT flap around and hit my legs while I'm walking. Great stuff!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, but can be even better. I used to hike in zip-pants, but the kilt is even more utilitarian. On cold mornings and evenings just slip on your long thermals without taking your kilt (pants) off! On very hot days there is lots of fresh air movement to stay cool. It is a good product, but some improvements could be made. 1. Offer a tall size for tall skinny folks. I am 6'2" and 170 lbs, the medium works, but could 1"-2" longer. 2. Provide some waist adjustments through a short elastic section or a velcrow closure. This would likely complement the built-in belt. 3. Or, omit the built-in belt and add belt loops. 4. Some more color options would be nice: beige and dark blue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product with Caveats This kilt is one of my favorite garments. I own one each in brown and grey. Pluses are many. Well made by a quality company. Great customer service. Fabric is durable and cool. Cargo pockets function well. Cons: NEED MORE COLORS!! Black is a must. A dark khaki would be great. Bring back the Otter color. Customers asked for more colors and you offer less? Belt is not very functional. Removed mine and use a leather kilt belt. Need to add belt loops. Snaps need to be more robust. Additional pocket or two (maybe a small inner pocket on the apron). Don't let pockets ruin the lines. This is a great item. I sell outdoor clothing and this could have more appeal. Have mentioned this to MH on a number of occasions. Nice product and superior company. Please help out your users by paying attention to input.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Breezy So far a great product. My only concern is that its only connected by 4 snaps and the small belt sleeve. If you go natural you better be proud.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great kilt I have three of these now- one which has some extra breathing ports (beware fire and sparks when wearing synthetic materials!). I love the overall design and fit- mostly. I'm 6'3" and 215lb- a 36" waist most of the time, but I find the XXL more comfortable (but I had to add my own belt loops and remove the insignificant built-in belt to keep the kilt up where it belongs). Suggestions: please give us a more robust belt, or better yet just skip the internal belt and give us belt loops to accomodate a belt of at least 1 1/2" width, 2" would be really ideal); how about some color options! Khaki and black would be wonderful, other colors would be nice; one or two small pockets in back for a money clip or small wallet would be a most welcome improvement, also. Those of us who have worn one of these kilts are chomping at the bit for just a few minor improvements. If you make it, we'll buy it! One last note: my girlfriends have all loved the kilt! Guys, do yourself a favor and try one on.
