Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Layer for 40-55 Degrees, but... This layer is wonderful to run in during late fall or early spring (think shorts, but not yet short sleeves). The only change I would suggest is that the zipper should go down another 2-3", to permit adequate cooling once the body heats up. Aside from that, the thumb loops and zero collar are great traits. I've used this as a base layer as well as a stand alone, and it functions well in each capacity.
