Men's Desna™ Jacket is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile and comfortable This is a great layer go on over your baselayer when being active out in the cold. I use it for ski touring and if it's cold and windy (Tahoe cold, not Montana). I usually will have a baselayer and this on and it will wick my moisture and keep me warm while I'm breaking trail. It's very comfortable to wear and fits me well being a 6'5" lanky dude. The hood is nice to throw on and zip up if your ears and neck get chilly. After one season it is showing some wear around the cuffs but overall still in great working order. I'll be using this for many seasons to come, hopefully!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice and light The coat is well made. Breaths very well and has extra long sleeves which are great. If you open the pockets when hot the jacket has mesh and it helps it cool down. Overall very good fleece jacket

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Use it all the time, Versatile I am 5'10'' and 167 lbs with 42 chest. Large was perfect for me as I use this as an outer layer with layers underneath. When I am active it breathes extremely well and offers decent wind protection, but when the going gets ruff I put a hard shell over it for full wind and moisture protection. The hood is great for added warmth when needed. I have been using it hard for over a year training for, and ultimately on Denali . Very versatile! I liked it better than a regular soft shell as it breathes better when I get warm or hot. I love this jacket and it layers well for added warmth under a hard shell. Highly recommend it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Odd fit I was given a Desna Jacket as a gift and if it weren't a gift I'd return it. Here's why: I'm 5'9", weigh 160 and have a pretty standard body, with legs, torso, arms in good proportions and, depending on mfg., wear either a medium or large shirt or jacket, usually large. This large Desna is so long that it goes down to my crotch, about 3" longer than my MH Sub Zero parka, size L. Looks dorky, but more importantly it is a perfect length to catch on, say my mountain bike seat. Too bad, because it is a perfect jacket to throw in the Camelback, but I probably won't. The other issue is the hood. Great, I thought. Nope. It is huge. I have a large head and wear either a 7 5/8 or 7 3/4 hat. This hood is so large that a slight breeze whipped right in the other day and did nothing to keep my head warm. My daughter suggested that it might have been designed that way to go over a helmet. If so, it is a dumb idea, since there would always be a big gap between the bottom of the helmet and the face. So it could have been a winner, but isn't. For the price, it should be.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what I was expecting I was looking for a good jacket to wear hiking and withstanding the element of a cold KY winter. I usually buy an XL due to MH always fitting me tight (5 9" 200lbs). The jacket was way too big in the sleeve and body. I also did not like the material because I was hoping for a thicker material. If I would have worn this outside in the winter during a breezy day I would have froze to death. The jacket would have been best for spring and fall. The quality was what you would expect from MH...top tier! The function would have been great running or using it has a base layer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Athletic cut/solid fleece layer I purchased the Desna Hoody a couple years ago as a fall outerlayer/winter layer. It's a nicely designed, athletically cut fleece. The strong points for me are the hood, the full-zip front that covers the chin, the freedom of movement, and the thumb loops. I'm not a climber, but I do a fair amount of fall paddling and winter back-country camping. Just got back from a 8-day October canoe trip in Canada, and the Desna ending up being my go-to layer. Really nice freedom of movement in the arms for paddling. The hood was awesome when the wind picked up on the lakes, as were the thumb loops. Not designed to be wind resistant/water proof, but a solid fleece layer for active outdoor pursuits when wind/precip are low. I'm 5'8" 155 and the medium fits just a bit long in the arms, but solid everywhere else.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but, not great The size runs a bit large. I expected it to be similar material to the Densa hoody. I like the pockets.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Running big This one is lately running big. I normally take a large in Mtn Hdwr tops, but had to switch to a medium as the large was just too large. I'm 6'1" 165 lbs. Athletic fit? At any rate, it's a basic "inside-out" light weight fleece. Fuzzy inside, and smooth outside, which makes a lot of sense.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SOLID jacket!! Over a base layer, under a shell or as a stand alone piece, pick your conditions and this jacket excels everywhere: Spring bluebird days in the Rockies, summer ascents on Rainier, or just knocking back a couple beers after a day on the rocks, this garment is always on my back or in my pack.
