Men's Desna™ Grid Vest is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A versitial go-to item. with one small flaw. So I mentally talked myself out of a few other vests, light jackets, and heavy shirts before deciding on this vest. I wanted something light weight, breathable, pack friendly (seems & pockets), and with a athletic or alpine cut to it. This vest fit the bill of everything that I was looking for and works great for my intended use as a second layer; basically in warm weather I'll wear it over a synthetic shirt for morning that are just a little brisk until things start to warm up or I start to warm up on the trail. In colder weather it goes on over my merino base layers and fits nicely under a synthetic or down layer (like a thermostatic or ghost down jacket) or a rain shell depending on conditions. I also just end up wearing it around the house and out in town quite a bit too, in stead of a sweatshirt over a t-shirt (it looks much nicer, and more professional, or put together than a sweatshirt does). The cut of the vest is very much 'alpine' meaning a little more form fitting than an athletic cut (same kind of fit as something athletic through the chest, but a little more taken in through the belly area). I personally like it and it looks goods on me. Think of it as slim cut, thin, for lean or athletic body types like mountaineers and swimmers. But I would like to see the arm holes opened up a little bit more, they seem smaller than a correspond sized t-shirt sleeve creating a fold or wrinkle in the sleeve or arm pit. I have also noticed the stretch fabric starting to pill up from about 4 inches below the arm pit and up to the arm pit, I'm not sure if that is a result of the arms holes being under sized, or if I should have gone a size larger to accommodate stretching through the lats area. Either way I do not regret the purchase, and it does everything I wanted it to and more.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very tight fit Wear medium in other MH clothes, but this was way too tight. The armholes were also really small. Understand this is supposed to be an 'alpine' fit, but it was too fitted to be usable. Material very nice though. Unfortunately had to return it and restart quest for a lightweight vest.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice, but... This is a fairly tight fitting vest for active use. I ordered it to use as a mid layer for skiing. This could be great, but it's a little too tight and the arm holes are WAY to small! I'm a very average five ft. nine, one hundred fifty lbs. and got a medium. The bottoms of the arm holes dig into my arm pits and the body length comes way below the waist. Tight on top, long on the bottom. I don't see how a bigger guy could call a medium too large for him, unless he wanted a very skin tight fit, or they've changed the cut. I'm also conflicted on what would work better for a mid layer. A tight fitting power grid fleece, or a looser standard style fleece. I'd keep it for specific function, but the tight arm holes are too uncomfortable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Inner Vest I ordered this vest in a Large and it was too tight. I am 5' 11" and 185lbs but I think this vest just was a different type than what I was looking for. This would have been perfect if I was looking for an inner fleece layer to keep me warm, but I was looking for an outer layer vest. Incredibly light but yet still very very good fleece and looked like it had great breath-ability. Only returned because I was looking for an outer layer, like I stated.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy and Functional I really like this vest. I wear it practically every day. I originally ordered a M but it was too big so I returned it and got a S instead. I'm 6' and 170lb and the S fits me much better. It works well under my jacket and doesn't constrict any movement. Would definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb lite weight vest this vest functions superbly. Compact and lite weight yet adds warmth in the cooler evenings. The fit is true and the arm slots are perfect for wearing your back pack. I love the Desna product line
