Men's Chockstone Midweight™ 3/4 Pant is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why is this discontinued??? I love these pants! They are the perfect backpacking pant. The 3/4 allows for venting, no muddy pant legs and a ease of movement. I would like to strongly suggest MH bring this back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all around activities pants Why was this product discontinued? Ordered a second pair within days of receiving first. Used for fishing, walking/hiking, veteran's yoga group, etc. Ten months later, and still very impressed by these pants. Initially skeptical of 3/4 length, but appreciate this feature more and more; freedom and coolness of shorts, but with knee protection (knee plants, kneeling, sunburn, etc). I would, and have recommended these pants. The one BIG problem - discontinued! Please bring this excellent product back. Since even Mountain Hard Wear products eventually wear out - I will try some of your outside venders to see if any are still in stock. Thank you for this excellent product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Hiking Pants I really like the material this pants are made out of: stretchable, fast-drying and well-constructed. I know I will enjoying wearing these pants for a few years because of their fabric durability. I do wish the back pocket had a zipper on it. There was none. A heavy-duty one would have been nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants/shorts I really like the quality of these. They are so awesome that I really wish they came in a regular short length and even a pant option. Also, the double button is a feature I'd never seen before, but I really like it. The two regular and one zip back pocket is sweet too. I'm most definitely taking them on my trip to Europe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Fit I have long been a fan of "man-pris". I have owned many different pairs from brands like OR and Prana. These rank among my favorite of all time in terms of fit and durability. The fabric is thick but breathable. I have large(r) thighs and these provide ample room (a rare thing indeed). I also appreciate the availability of intermediate sizes. I agree with the other commenters, these pants would benefit from a side pocket. Also, while the front pockets are larger than those of other "man-pris", I would like them to be just an inch or two deeper.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect I bought a pair of these to use for bike commuting and all around outdoor use. They work great with a military style web belt and metal belt buckle. I agree a zippered thigh pocket would be great... The one on the back right does ok. Should be larger so I can fit my flask in it! ;-)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from between seasons Pros: 3/4 pants are great for between seasons when shorts are not enough and long pant may be too warm. Saves from hassling with convertible long pants. 3/4 pants are also great on rocks. I have 2 other 3/4 pants from other manufacturers and Mountain Hardware's are the heavy duty winner- they are made from the same material as soft shell pants. Cons: Could really use a thigh pocket (or 2). Both of my other 3/4 pants have at least one thigh pocket. The body of the pant fits great but the waist seems a little on the big size (this could be a personal body flaw- I'm 6', 190).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not much of an improvement I wanted to love these pants so much. I spend a lot of time working in the field and the MH "man-pris" are absolutely my first choice. I have burned through two pairs of the Rifugio 3/4 length pants (discontinued, replaced with these). The Rifugio had some problems (no back pocket, snap closure that was fixed in later models) but they were awesome. I saw the design for these (in particular the back pocket!) and was excited to get a pair. I have had them for a week and still can't decide if I want to send them back or not. I am sure I will eventually get them dirty and be stuck with them. First off, they are too thick. 3/4 length pants are for summer. The Rifugios were made from a much lighter weight material. I don't want to be roasting in the field. Secondly they are way way too stretchy. This is probably the leading factor that makes me want to send them back. They fit me everywhere except the waist......the most important place. The stretch of the waistband makes them fall off if I am not wearing a belt (integrated in previous models). A smaller size would be pretty constricting in the butt and thighs so I don't really know what to do here. I guess I just have to wear a belt with them. On a positive note, the pockets on these pants are a huge improvement. One thing that I think MH has had a hard time with is making clothing unnecessarily "technical looking", pockets at awkward angles, zippers all over the place, weird reflective strips, rubberized areas. Eh, "form follows function", that means function first. This is an area where these pants show improvement. All of that said, I would gladly trade these for a pair of the Refugios but alas....I will have to settle for super stretchy pants with a belt. In the future I may have to start shopping around. Bummer....
