Rated 4 out of 5 by Running Jacket?? I would not use this for any hiking. It's closer to a running jacket than anything else. It does not resist wind as much as one would like for the "backcountry". I have used it for running and was pretty happy with it for that purpose. But I when I used to it to go on a hike it was entirely to thin. September 22, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Lightweight running jacket This is a great fitting and looking jacket, bit the fabric is very thin. It is more of a running jacket, or active wear jacket. The material is wind resistant. You can see light through the material however, and for foggy San Francisco, this isn't going to cut it. Probably only good for summer. I will be returning and looking for something with the same ragland sleeve cut, as my 5'8 158lb 41" chest frame, it's tough to find a Mountain Hardware jacket that fits like this one. I hate to return it, but it's just a running type jacket. May 17, 2014
